probably not a bug, chief. my guess moderation is active as that thread was probably more trouble than it's worth.

I would guess he's right. The buttons are not there on either regular or premium for me. I'm guessing he's right and that is intentional though.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is more of a back end error, everyone. I would say to be most helpful to @edgework, we should probably be succinct and informative with our replies from here on out.

Please note, I don't work for Giantbomb and I'm only a concerned premium member.

@edgework - I was watching through the Kerbal project yesterday on my Mac while at work. I already provided some detail, but wanted to make sure to provide as much as possible.

OS - OS X 10.11.4 (15E65)

Browser - Chrome Version 49.0.2623.110 (64-bit) AND Firefox Version 43.0.4

Recreation steps - Log into the site with my premium membership, navigate to any video, select "Download" and "HD" (I did try with other qualities) and then I receive the Jeff's Authentication Error.

Edit #1 - I have tried it with different Kerbal videos and I can use the Download Link for Ep 14 as an example on "HD", but I get the error message for Ep 09. If I go to Ep 09 and I use the on-screen video player and select HD, it works.

I have time today if you would like me to try browsing from any other devices. I have Windows and Android available at this time.

@edgework: My error was on my laptop (Mac OS X) with the standard webpage. I was using Chrome Version 49.0.2623.110 (64-bit). Hope this helps. I thought it was an error on the video database side or something.

@edgework: I know you probably know, but this message appears even if I have authenticated. Hope this helps troubleshooting. Please tell @rorie sorry for my bad jokes on twitter. Text is hard to convey humor with. Especially in 140 characters or less.

I would love to see N64 F-Zero X. I played the crap outta that game and it was surprisingly fun with multiple people. I haven't watched that video yet so I don't know the format but it strikes me as a great older game that would be fun to show off.

@heycalvero: Bilblioteca! :D Yeah. I don't recommend using my method. I personally have a laptop running Linux and SSH so I can SSH into it at any time like @korwin says... But I know how to do that and don't mind. Not everyone feels the same.

I hate to condone the bypassing of a work sanctioned filter. It's there for a reason. But if you're willing, there is a fairly easy way to get around the blocks.

If you go to https://translate.google.com, then in the translation box, type https://giantbomb.com, then on the right side, click on the link provided, and it should use google's proxy service to hide your URL.

You may have to fiddle with the settings such as setting the left side to spanish and the right side to English so it "translates" it into English. But, hope this helps for now. Please don't use this for nefarious purposes.

Don't worry about the writing you did. You did well. I feel ya man, it's tough. I took it really hard. Never wrote anything about it really but... I'm glad you came back and I'm also glad everyone here is all going through it together. I never thought I would be sad about someone passing that I had never met but.... Goddamnit if I'm not still really fucking sad about it too. My wife put it best, "you lost a friend, being sad is understandable". Doesn't matter if it was a one sided friendship, still lost a great friend. We'll get through it man. Keep going strong. Everyone keep going, Miss you, Ryan.

As someone who runs Ubuntu 12.04 on my work laptop and wants to really consider strongly ditching Windows at home.... This is awesome. Please keep this up and I will definitely be a follower. You have already opened my eyes to a number of games on Linux. If they keep going in this direction, I'll be leaving Windows to play on Linux primarily! Thanks!
