Reefer Madness

Lets start with the basics.  Marijuana, has NEVER caused single recorded death, EVER.  Marijuana has NEVER caused a single case of cancer.EVER.  Question is, WHY is it illegal?  Why is alcohol legal?  Why is something such as alcohol that contributes roughly 100,000 deaths per year legal?  And for you simple minded people who think crime and drugs will skyrocket are morons.  60% of the drug Cartels income is from marijuana, you take that away they'll be in a world of pain. Why would a drug dealer want to sell marijuana if people can just go the store and buy perfectly wrapped up joints? Marijuana consumers wouldn't go to their drug dealer, they would go to the store. Marijuana is a large chunk of the drug economy, marijuana is the nations largest cash crop. Also, people would be able to grow their own, again, consumers wouldn't need a drug dealer/grower.  We all know (or should I say the ones who actually look at history) the prohibition of alcohol was the worse decision of the government could make.

Making alcohol illegal sparked MASSIVE crime rates, gave birth to gang mobsters such as Al Capone, there was a spike increase in alcohol poisoning as well. Underground tunnels were used to transport the booze to around the inner city.  Prohibition just made people want it more, this is what happens when you suppress people from what they want. I'm sorry, it's just the way humans do things.

Okay now that's over with, so back to the big question, why is it illegal?  Is it because it's a health issue?  Is it because there are these things inside marijuana known as carcinogens.  Meaning, they potentially can cause cancer....yet any evidence of that contributing from marijuana is still zero.  Yes there is no denying smoke is bad for the lungs, smoke is not supposed to be in our lungs.....but the same applies to a cheeseburger, prescription drugs, car fumes, poorly cooked meat, lack of exercise, stress, lack of sleep, etc.  Should we make less than 4 hours of sleep a night illegal?  It's been said that lack of sleep is similar to driving drunk.

So health is not the issue, because most of the crap we consume is not good for our health.  Back to the question, WHY is it illegal???  Is it because of the "high" effect?  That doesn't make sense, alcohol is a drug, it's accepted in society, in fact it's even advertised as the most famous Super Bowl Commercials.  Alcohol is so common that children grow up laughing at the advertisement, as if it's okay to drink.  No one complains about it, but once legalization of marijuana comes into discussion people flip the phuck out.   It just doesn't make any sense, if you're anti marijuana than you are nothing more than a drone spawned from the government propaganda that all started back when the movie Reefer Madness came out. It's true, the government unleashed a massive campaign towards marijuana.  If you knew the reason why it's illegal, you too would be for marijuana, and how pathetic the reasons behind prohibition.  But since you're too simple minded, you won't take the time, instead you go to the .gov sites with them spilling false mislead information that's completely outdated.  Universities are constantly debunking the false claims performed by the lovely government on a regular basis.

I say, legalize the herb, it's the right thing to do.
