The thought puzzle, Ship of Theseus, asks if an object that has had all of its original components replaced remains the same object.

The one thing I will say if that there are a lot of artists, videographers who are really unhappy with the way Apple is handling its Pro hardware and art/editing software. Apple is dumbing down it software tools for non-artists, yet making the workflow for professionals trying to use that software worse. In such a world where Apple is dropping the ball in hardware and software, Microsoft sees an opening.

I can't say if some of this stuff makes sense, but with Apple dropping the ball Microsoft sees their best opening yet to make what used to be Apple's strengths look like a huge joke.

I always come back to alternative history. It allows for creativity, its has less cultural dynamite to explode in your face, and ist new and old at teh same time.

I have thought that the time between Korea and Vietnam would be interesting. You have East and West in an arms race, yet nothing to really fight with those fancy toys. so a lot of the fancy toys go to waste or are not developed fully.

Well, for all his faults, he did something with his life...and that's something in itself. He has a wife half his age, that is seemly semi-talented... and that has to go in the 'win' column as well. More infamous than famous, more mad than a genius; yet, not a bad resume all the same for a 60 y.o. guy.

Anyone else listening to Austin and Patrick's podcast? Their podcast has matured over the past few months at the 'bunker', and it is EXACTLY as good as you would think.

As time goes on, I have less and less patience sand less and less time for all the podcasts I want to hear. But, I have to say the Vice Gaming Podcast is excellent, and it sounds like they are having fun with it. In fact, Vice Gaming is getting good enough that I have started reading more 'other articles' on the Vice site itself; which I think says a lot for how good Austin is in his role.

No, you can't just take it out...sadly. You will be able to copy your games, saved data, captured videos and screenshots, system settings, and other content from a standard PS4 to PS4 Pro using a standard Ethernet cable. This process will also work from standard PS4 to standard PS4, PS4 Pro to standard PS4, and PS4 Pro to PS4 Pro provided that both units have system software update 4.00 or higher installed, and the same PSN account is signed into both systems.

Alternatively, you can STILL log-into PSN with your PS4 Pro, access your games and content library, and re-download your previously purchased games and content.

I plan to try the Ethernet method, but - of course - I have no first hand knowledge of the process yet.

If I were them I would make at least one more WWI game.

I think the interesting thing to think about was how confident they were with this game. They knew they were fine 18 months ago, they knew their 'vision' of a WWI game (one full of automatic weapons) was going to appear to their Battlefield audiences for sure. So, the current game I think was a lot less risky than people might have though when they said it woudl be set during WWI. In my mind they were sure their game would work and they were sure enough to start planning a second game in the same universe.

I'm not sure what they plan for DLC aside from France, but I would think the next game could stress the Eastern Front in Russia and teh Southern Front in Italy if they don't use that for DLC.

I wish someone would just make standard controllers where all the parts are 7068 aluminium alloy or if injection molding is needed they are stronger and less brittle. Nothing fancy, no buttons shaped like shell casing or funky colors. I just want a standard joypad that you could run over with a truck. I'd pay $250 for that.

I'm not saying the below is better...but it looks nicer and less like something a 15 y.o. would think is "rad"

I like my batteries big, the bigger the better

♩♫♬...I like big batteries and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a device stays-on in an itty bitty case
And the speaker boom some bass

You get sprung, want to pull up tough
'Cause you notice that battery was stuffed
Deep in the case it's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring

Oh Switch, I want to get wit'cha
And use ya to take my pict-chaz
My homeboys tried to warn me
But deep battery dreamz you got (me so horny)♩♫♬
