Only recently finished the first game which was pretty cool, liked it so much I bothered to get all the achievements. The soundtrack was also pretty excellent. Will certainly pick this up at some stage.
Cats. I can scarcely remember a time when there weren't cats in the house, clawing at the furniture, running under feet, throwing up on the carpet, waking me up with wet kisses and bringing all manner of lovely 'gifts' from outside. I love them, and not just because they offset the crippling existential loneliness.
I don't listen to nu-metal very much these days outside of Korn and Slipknot but I enjoyed it at the time. Lyrically a lot of it was truly awful but I tend to find good lyrics are rare across all genres. If anything nu-metal softened me up for ever more absurd and gloriously ridiculous metal bands. It'd be easy for me to sneer but I listen to (and love) Kamelot, Ad Infinitum, Unleash the Archers etc. so there'll be no stones cast from me.
Finished the 2nd episode of Void & Meddler recently (3rd and final one is out this year supposedly, some 5 years after it first came out). Really loved the aesthetics; looks amazing, has some cool rain effects and the music fits perfectly. The story is complete nonsense but the weirdness acts as an appealing buffer to keep me from getting too annoyed at the poor grammar and spelling mistakes.
Currently trying Phoenix Point via game pass. Really enjoying it for the most part; love the Disciples of Anu and the faction system, but either I'm terrible or the game seems to get hard fast with it's bigger, tougher monsters.
Just heard the new Chelsea Wolfe album 'Birth of Violence' which I adore. Probably a split between it and Fleshgod Apocalypse's 'Veleno' for my favourite album so far this year.
