While I don't think RDR is overrated, it is quite a bit of a slug to get through it. First part of the game was good, really good and the second part had an amazing introduction but it ended up being too long and made no sense from a story telling pov that it tarnished the third part for me to a point where I just didn't care.

As someone who's favorite movie genre is spaghetti westerns, I will most definitely keep my eyes open for this one. I hope the development team took all the advancements made in recent year and will make a memorable experience.

I much rather donate that money to Trumps next presidential campaign. Seems a bit harsh, but I guess it's true since it says so on this here post. /s

On a personal level, I want to see a Belgium-Croatia world cup final. There hasn't been a new finalist since 1998 when France got there and smashed Brazil with their 3-0 win, and two new finalists since 1954 when West Germany won over Hungary 3-2 to give them their first title, so it's about damn time.

However, as a history fan, the prospect of seeing an France-England game makes me salivate. Seeing those two countries with their shared history going head to head in the final for the world cup is literally a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Another fun fact: The France-Belgium game is almost...Just almost... day for day on the anniversary of the Battle of the Golden Spurs. I take that as a good omen.

Even on normal there are regular enemies that will take you down in 2 hits. I feel like a balance patch will come in soon cause I am not having any fun being taking down in 2 hits on normal.

When you say traditional, what do you mean? Because to me it means either a straight razor or a safety razor. All that multi-blade system can go fuck off. It's a fucking money scam to sell you shitty razors for really expensive price.

Also, if you haven't done so, go get an actual straight razor shave from a good barber. It's the best shave you'll ever get.

So my options are a bowl of fresh shit vs a bowl of dried shit. I don't know. I feel like no matter what I pick I end up eating a bowl of shit.

Anybody know if I should get this?

Depends on your level of tolerance. I must have restarted the game 4 times so far and something about it is just not clicking in. Could be the terrible combat system they implemented, once again proving that you should never, ever, let your fans dictate game development for you, or that the story is just grabbing me. I do have the PC version but you can run it with PS4 UI and the game is perfectly fine working with a controller. As for the performance, I don't really know how it is on consoles.

If you decide to take a chance and play it just know that you'll get way more enjoyment out of avoiding combat all together so you might just want to make a character based solely on your ability to talk. It is a Monte Cook game after all and if you intend on playing a character that it's wisdom is not the main state just don't fucking bother really.

I was a bit iffy on it to start with so I might just give this a miss. At least for now.

Honestly, I'd rather do another run of Planescape: Torment.

So this where I am in the game right now.

I just finished doing Surt's part of the game and I am about to start Valravn's part. So far I am very impressed with the visuals and the magnificent sound design. Combat I could do without as the main creative juices went to the story and how the narrative unfolds. Right now I don't really want to talk about specific story beats as I am not done yet. However, I would like to mention that as someone who seen a close friend descent into dementia, this game is hitting me pretty hard. It's actually making understand what she was going through for the first time in my life.

I would also like to mention how great the voice over, especially Nicholas Boulton as Druth which I hope will get recognition when GOTY talks arrive.

How's your experience so far?

Been here since the beginning starting with the arrow pointing down podcast. Jeff, Ryan, Vinnny, and Brad were the cast once the site started. They were in someone's living room for the arrow pointing down casts and then moved into the first basement when the site started. I followed all of them back in their gamespot days and just followed them here. Their brand of podcast is one of my favorite things. I used to watch all of their videos starting with the how to build a bomb videos, but now the volume is so much I can't watch everything. It's changed a lot and cast has rotates through, but this site and community have a ton of heart.

Pretty much the same journey. I will agree with you on the point that the community has a ton of heart but it has changed so much and so many people I felt close to has either moved on or got themselves banned for one reason or the other. I know I am sounding like those old guys but man do I miss those early community days. Ohh the fun times...The cluster fuck that was the first E3 on coverage on this site...The now defunct Nintendo Army...Fun times.
