I have been a follower of Ryan for what seems like ever. I joined gamespot in the late 90's when they were the first to bring video reviews on the scene with both Greg and Ryan heading the charge into what is now the mainstream. I joined and loved paying the monthly subscription to hear the thoughts and opinions of these guys. they added others who still believed as the same as i did, games are so much more than the mainstream media tried to portrait. We lived when games like half life were nothing more than novelties, and our obsession with them were looked at like we were outsiders. I would like to thank the likes of Ryan Davis to bring gaming journalism to the mainstream. It took many years, but he made his mark on society. I only hope to have the lasting impression that he has made. I will miss you...... My never known friend...

Yeah I'm with you. Maybe it's just me but I find all the conferences have been growing more and more boring with each passing year. On top of that "winning" best E3 press conference has proven year after to year to have little to no effect on the overall success of that company or the quality of their offering. I mean how many comments did I read regarding how Sony won E3 2009 hands down because of the announcement of The Last Guardian? And here we are mid-2012 with that game still no where in sight. I consider MS's conference a subjective flop because it didn't surprise me or speak much to my interests. But with that being the measure I use to judge press conference quality I would say Sony's was a flop too. And Nintendo has flopped every year since the N64 days.

I agree, how many years now has Sony "won" e3 and still are last place this generation. I am tired of the god of war games, and i never liked heavy rain (really tired of quick time bull). Love Naughty dog and really liked the presentation for The Last of Us. Microsoft's was good for me, but nothing unexpected, which is what i was expecting.

seriously? buy an xbox? wow they suck the WII has an internet browser and Nintendo never made a huge stink about it, neither Sony....Why does Microsoft always have the right to brag about literally nothing, and people support them? wtf

This makes me laugh.

I have been fighting this for a while with gamespot and giantbomb. all of their videos just show the two dots of loading flash and then stop. I have uninstalled flash/chrome/firefox and still get the back screen every time i try and watch a video. At least on gamespot i can download the video and still get the information. There is no such option that i have found on giantbomb which sux because i love their vids.
