P3P Personal Edurance Run - Day 3

I'm surprised that in order to learn about fusing, you have to enter the velvet room manually.  It would have made more sense to "lead" you after clearing your first dungeon floor into the velvet room using some dialog.

Short day, just cleared out the first floor, got out and saved.  Did my best Vinny impersonation by missing with my sword.  Also, wtf is Yukari's weapon?  Ah, bow and arrow, looks way too big.

It is kinda weird you have to go into the persona menu for the other characters to do analyze, would have made more sense in the main radial menu.

Looks like next up is social linking!

P3P Personal Edurance Run - Day 2

Made it through my first fight on the roof and about to enter Tartarus.

A missing father presumed dead?  Will that be important down the road? I bet so.

Kinda odd how Junpei was thrown into the investigation team (sorry, SEES.  I want some See's Candies now), I assume they wanted to get you to the dungeon crawling as fast as possible.  Story has been well paced, and the limited animations don't hurt the story telling much.

P3P Personal Edurance Run - The Start

Now that I work from home, my PSP hasn't been getting any use.  However, the Persona 3 Portable quicklook peeked my interest since I've never played a JRPG before.  One impulse Amazon purchase later (I really needed another HDMI cable! anyways) and I am going to try to do a personal endurance run of the game - take a 30 minute break each day and play the game.  To honor the endurance run I named the male character Charlie Tuna (plus I suck at making up names).

Got 30 mins in today, and in Persona fashion haven't actually done anything but press X.  Spying on the main character while he sleeps? Freaky.

The game sets up the story pretty well from the get go and the voice acting seems to be strong.  Teachers remain weird (da bomb reference!), but that is true in real life as well.

I have to admit, hearing the P4 sounds bring out a smile.

Game glitches - God of War 3

I have an evil power of running into weird bugs with games (and software in general).  Probably my life's calling was to be a QA tester, but I rather be the person who causes bugs that the one who finds them.

Yesterday in GOW3 I ran into 2 issues that required me to reload a save, one of my own doing and another an obvious glitch.

The first issue occurred in the Hera's Garden segment.  You push a column around to divert water into large cups.  Well, I pushed the column next to a open gate, which then through another action closed.  The gate closes by poping out of the ground, and suddenly my column was gone.  Opening the gate causes the column to fall down from the sky and land on the ground.  Closing the gate pushes it back up into the sky.  Quite hilarious in fact, and required a restart as the column wasn't interactable anymore.

The second issue occured after solving the Garden and involved a harpy riding segment to cross a giant chasm.  I ride them about 2/3 the way, but then there are no more harpies in front to jump to and ride. I die, and am resurrected at the beginning of the segment. 20 odd tries later, and the same thing happens each time.  Grrr. Controller throwing imminent.  I google the issue and see several people have encountered this as well. After 10 more tried, I give up and restart from my last save - at the start of the Garden.  Solved it again, got to the harpies, and this time the harpies were in the right places.

Not sure what I would have done if it still had been glitched.
