For anyone not clear on what Lang based that on, listen to the original:

Actually, everyone should go listen to it anyway.

The problem with Dan is that he's got one of the dullest personalities I've ever seen. He just repeats the same couple of things ad nauseam. It gets old.

Everyone else seems to have interests outside of video games, Dan's just got WWE.

Dan is fantastic on these two topics, insufferable when discussing literally anything else!

Man has some of the most bizarre stories I've ever heard. He also has an interest in comedy, classic rock, and action films. His interests are specific, but not limited. Really enjoy his anecdotes and perspective. And, even though he might as well be a parody of a person from the midwest, it is nice having somebody there to reality check some of the particularly goofy stuff happening on the west coast.

Bizarre stories? Aren't they just all fratboy type "I got real drunk and did something stupid"? I didn't say he didn't have any other interests, I just said those were the only two I enjoyed listening to him talk about, even though I am also into the other ones you mentioned! Peace!

Dan is pretty much a 180 from a 'fratboy'. If you examine both, you will find very little in common. Someone above used the word 'enigma', this is precisely right. He's a combination of character traits and interests that are almost entirely without peer.

These are way better than my house, which I thought was great. I second the thoughts here - give us a birds eye view so we can build from the sky. Having to build as if your character is placing things makes building far more difficult than it needs to be.

I can't wait to see what sorts of things people build with power. I've seen some cool billboard designs already.

Not the year for an open world game to be mediocre.

Odd question - is this Jason's first? I swear I heard him talking about having an older son on a podcast once. To be fair, I drink while listening. Anyway - congrats! My little one is now 18 months. It's a ride.

Hey Austin - the 200 mb thing is only sort of true. You need to look up iOS app thinning. This is what tvOS is doing. Long story short - the initial download size needs to be 200 but this can exclude assets (icons, images textures, etc) which are not needed until the app requests them. Why? Because to have an app contain ALL the assets for all known Apple devices would make the image super large and wasteful. For example - why should my phone have to download assets that will only be used on a giant iPad pro? Answer: it shouldn't. Also, this same technology can be used to only pack in say level 1 of a platformer and hold off on downloading level 2 until you get there. So not just graphical assets. Anyway, look it up. Everyone else, hopefully this helps.

Austin is the dude that shows up at your tree-house and hangs some art on the wall. At first you are all, hey man, we don't need any art, this is a tree-house! For smuggled smokes and poker! Then you leave the painting there and forget about it. Then, one day, you realize the painting is cool. Then, one day, you realize you can't imagine the tree-house without it.
