The Witcher 2 now completed, few games on the horizon look to deliver on all fronts of scope, story, characters, and visuals. Uncharted 3 is the only 2011 release that i'm nearly losing my mind over in that regard call me gay for this series because i would do unspeakable things for it to be november right now. not to mention the boner i have for the CE http://i.imgur.com/NgwYE.jpg
nothing more needs to be said except that this game won't be out until Ken Levine is ready to let it fly from his nest. if it's really the heralded 'lightning strikes twice' success that the original Bioshock was, then it might be possible for me to fall enough in love with a game to marry it
3. Dragon's Crown
Vannilaware is synonymous with a Day 1 purchase for me. i'm a sucker for the gorgeous illustrations, art direction, and overall japanese mindset that the developer's games adorn themselves with. english being my only language, i was introduced at Odin Sphere and began a steady spiral into fandom action/RPG's are also a way to hit all my pleasure sensors in one fell swoop, and doubly so to everything if that PS Vita tech dazzles to the degree i keep hearing about

thatgamecompany knows how to connect with people, even when they don't want you to know a thing about that other person if you don't care, then you haven't and still won't be paying attention to Journey. for everyone else-- for every person that played Flower or flOw, there is a personal story here that is open to interpretation on a more direct level than the indie studio's previous endeavors the closer thatgamecompany ekes to becoming alike Team Ico, is the closer i become to being helpless against their releases
the demo shown at this year's E3 has me entirely sold on this game. not only does it look like a gorgeous fucking cartoon, the platforming looks like 100% sugar fun. put something between a game oozing charater & core gameplay and a guy to see if you can stop him from getting to it. you can't
also try stopping anyone with a Wii from playing the game hand-crafted for it. if it's anywhere at the level of quality that first-party Mario galaxy rocketed into, then perhaps we'll have a finally filling meal for the console with 'no games on it'. and then we'll bitch because it wasn't our individual ideal Zelda game
an on-rails shooter tailored from start to finish for the 3DS; while i may be unfamiliar with the Kid Icarus franchise, i am not immune to one of the least-appreciated genres this generation. if i can expect half the fun of Sin & Punishment 2 or Starfox 64 from KI:Uprising, then i'll still be able to sleep at night
finishing Sly 2 is a thing i still have to get under my belt. thanks to the HD collection making that an accessible possibility, along with containing a teaser for Sly 4 when the compilation hit last year. as far as i can tell, Thieves in Time looks like a return of fluid cel-shading, wacky characters, and some light-footed platforming, which is a thing that i want
SMT sequels are like reminding a heroin addict that the drug didn't stop existing once they got off it. not only will this make me go back and actually play through Devil Survivor once and for all, but it will release on the original DS, which means at this point that it's not a port or shitty low-content IP. that's right, they still make games for that thing
it's pretty and i want to play on it. sometimes i'm an easy customer
that theme song. those lows... THE LOWS. i've been through 10 years of love/hate relationships with Halo, but i'll never get over my nostalgia for its roots. if anything, i'm curoius about what 343 studios will do that Bungie felt was atypical of what Halo is. with a new developer comes much potential, and that's worth my interest
fuck you guys i want to play Mario Kart again
i don't know much but i want to know more about this music platformer. strike that-- i've seen all that there is to it and want to give a spin for myself at this point. music games are very hit-or-miss for me, and while i loved Everyday Shooter, the aesthetics of this one are a bit off-putting. if the gameplay and audio is there, though... well i can't complain
i played an hour of ESIV. i honestly wouldn't really give a shit about Skyrim if it wasn't for the rugged northern setting, and that's really enough to make me want to play a game. there'sjust not enough of this high-country/nordic look in games and it's such a rarity that i'll buy into a fucking franchise because they put it in their new release. it'll take some convincing, but i might even warm up to the game itself. after Fallout 3, i'll need a metric ton of convincing
