Backtracking: the TO PLAY list

My first job out of college didn't allow for a lot of time to play games (which was funny, because we sort of made games).  My lack of free time caused me to miss out on some great titles from 07, 08, and 09, and now that i've quit that job, my lack of income will cause me to miss out on more than a few hits this year as well.
 
This is more for me, so that every time I have an "oh shit, i never got to play that game" moment, I can put it on this digital list (a word doc would do the same thing, but that's just lame).  So when I finally nail that rich 70 year old woman who will set me up for life, I can go back and catch up these great games while i sit on my fat, lazy, gold digging ass.

  • The game that keeps on giving, I've always wanted to check it out, but with over 100 hours of game play, never felt i had the time. The Giant Bomb staff is taking this one into Twenty Ten, so maybe I should too.

  • I really liked the first one, the second one sucked, and the third one was too damn hard. If games really do run on a law of threes, then this one should be good, right?

    UPDATE: My taste in action games must have changed, cus this game just isn't working for me.

  • While the second game is supposed to better in just about every way, I still would like to be disappointed by this game first. That way, I get the full Assassin's Creed experience.

  • Who dosn't like to blow shit up? While the original Red Faction still holds a special place in my gaming heart, I'm willing to overlook the move to 3rd person and give this crazy physics playground a shot.

  • I really liked the art design and the concepts behind this game. I didn't hear great things, but I think it still deserves a play through.

  • I enjoyed the 1st game, up until the end when I realized I couldn't continue to play after the final boss. I had both a hetero and a homo sexual marriage to attend to, god damn it! And there were chickens to be punted...

  • Haven't played with my Wii much in the last few years (nope.....those jokes will never get old..........ever). Mad World seemed like a decent premise and cool art style. It didn't review great, but I would still like to give it a shot.

  • I feel like my Xbox library is a bit shooter heavy, but none of those games let you remove a bullet from your leg with a knife.

    UPDATE: Bought this finally on Steam. Looks great, but the open ended style is doing it for me. Never sure where it is I should go next.

  • Look, don't judge me. I know its a pretty bad game, but I played the demo way back when and thought "If it wasn't 60 bucks, I could get down with this".......I SAID DON'T JUDGE ME GOD DAMN IT!!!
