@selfconfessedcynic: The scope of some of the content has changed but I don't see how someone could watch the BioForge stream or this week's TNT and think that their enthusiasm is gone or that they're jaded. Those were two of the best videos that Giant Bomb has ever produced. Not to mention all the Iceland stuff from the past couple weeks, which has been fantastic across the board. I'm just not sure what people want out of them. No matter what they do some people are just never happy.

yup

GB is run by people- if we (the community) give a shit beyond CONSUME we should be understanding of the way they change and various life events. Treating GB simply as a product that must meet our needs would just turn it into any other gaming site, which it is clearly not. I know we put money in, and I know GB is keenly interested in keeping the community happy- but the community needs to avoid becoming an entitled group o assholes.

The only thing I dont like more than people acting like nothing is wrong with a game, is people acting like nothing is right with the game. This game in particular was nothing but SUX OR ROX and its like jesus- get a grip people.

@patrickklepekThanks for covering Etrian Odyssey 4. Its probably one of the best 3DS releases right now, and they have made significant changes to specific game mechanics to try and appeal to a larger audience (sub dungeons, ease of travel, more casual harvesting process, more revenue options). Of course that only bears fruit if its given a chance, and not shoved aside as a simple iteration of a series that HAS up until this release, been a predictable one

After the presentation for final fight/magic sword release- wtf. Kudos to them for providing so many specific game tweaking options, but the selection of games + overall presentation feels kinda EH.

OH WELL. Bought it anyway cause 1943 is one of the best games ever made.

This one is probably the most approachable IMO- mechanically speaking. The characters and story are WAYYY clichéd anime but whatcha gonna do.

Developed by ST!NG- the games story and characters feel like an Idea Factory game, but the gameplay feels very ST!NG. Note that this, in my experience, is one of the more shallow sets o game mechanics from this dev- the engagement chain system is neat and the more subtle strategies enforced by map layout and character strength based off of the most rare equipment (e.g. Pegasus sandals) makes up for the linear character/weapon progression paths.

The game is priced right at 20 dollars and is very consistent in terms of overall production quality.
