Games you missed because college just takes up too much time

Just a quick blog before I go do some more studying. These are games I've missed mostly because of College (Company of Heroes really being an oversight in my collection of Company of Heroes games). So what all have you missed? Or are there any games you recommend I get?
1. Call of Duty: Black Ops
2. Amnesia: The Dark Descent
3. Fallout: New Vegas
4. Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

This year I got good at spending a shit load of time on few games.  I didn't have the money to buy much new games, aside from the few I knew I'd have to play and set aside money for.

I bought Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Fable 3, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.  It's been easier recently now that I have financial aid covering tuition and some bills... but there still isn't a lot of free time between class/homework/work/social life.

Gaming comes before college. Sort out your priorities, seriously.

I have an issue with both. At a constant 18 credit hours a semester, on top of a job, research projects, and following friends to parties and such, games took a back-row this semester, and will continue to for the foreseeable future. I find most of my money went too food, music, and other such mentionables.

Whoa man. slow down. My blog is clearly about NOT wasting time during school and playing games, but rather spending the whole semester focused on school (and parties here and there). This is about what you're going to do over the break. THE BREAK. And consdering most of my friends that I hang out with at school return to their respective states, far away from me, playing games is better than drinking with your grandmother. Calm down. Don't judge other people. Enjoy the blog.

 Old man Monkey hobbles out.

Anyone in college who plays more then 3 hrs of games each week is crazy.  You are in college take advantage or even waste it on better things then games.  For 90% of you, there won't be another part of your life where you are as: attractive, surrounded by peers, free with time, and as close to opportunities for BETTER experiences then in college.  Playing games now for more than a tiny fraction of the time is just sad.    I don't care if you some brah who skips class because mommy and daddy will support you until you're 30; or if you some struggling, working person paying his own way.   The part of your life between 17 and 25 is precious you don't get it back.

Gaming is a hobby and you should only devote a tiny fraction of your best years to.  Hell, my advice would be even if you blow off classes, learn nothing, and totally waste your time at college at least waste those years outside with people doing actual things.

I've found that university hasn't really stopped me from playing games, it's just meant that I've got through games slower and had to do a lot of my playing during the holidays. My real issue playing games in the last year or so has been not having the money to buy a lot of games.

I have a brand new copy of New Vegas that I haven't popped in yet.  I have yet to finish playing through Black Ops and Amnesia.  I am still waiting for enough time to pop in Enslaved.  I still need to finish Dark Void, Just Cause 2, and The Saboteur.

I'm doing a games programming course - one of our lecturers tells us to play games as part of the course. At least four hours a week to (as he says) "how badly people can screw your job up with broken assets"

I don't think he likes the guys doing game art

New Vegas. The time college takes up isn't my problem, it's how much money it takes up.

The last new game I played was Reach's campaign. This semester has been ridiculous.

Pretty much a majority of 2010, starting from January I still want to play Bayonetta, Bad Company 2, Fallout New Vegas, Dead Rising 2, Rock Band 3, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, Gran Turismo 5, and  some others.

I did get to play some big games like Red Dead, God of War 3, and Mass Effect 2 among other smaller yet just as good games.

I think the fact that I've only missed out on a few games this semester on launch proves I'm either a genius or my priorities are horribly fucked up.

Same boat as you, New Vegas, BlOps, Assassin's Creed II and by extension Brotherhood, Dawn of War II, I'm not getting into Cataclysm because I know it'd be a waste. Many more too.

Hell it's not even a money issue, I actually have a few games still wrapped...can't wait for Winter break to break into a few of them.

Like, 80% of my Steam catalog.

I'm literally going to spend 5 years straight after college finishing the games I didn't get to play >.>

Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, Dead Rising 2, Fallout New Vegas... Man, work and college both suck.
