I've played both now and i'd go with DS without question. As many before me have stated, hit me up if you wanna play online. 

Definately farm the shit out of those tunnels for spider stone until you can get a maxed out sticky bow. It is very worth it. Trying to farm in pure white will get you nowhere, my first run through it took me an 1-2 hours to get a single spiderstone shard in pure white... SUCKS!  As for 1-1, there is also body form Miralda that you can get the binded set ...

I lack several chunks of dragon stone to get it to +5, and I don't really think it will stand the test of time as it gets no bonuses from stats at all. I was looking into making a good mace for the skeletons cause that supposedly fucks them up pretty hard.  So far the magic in this game seems pretty fun. Yeah I have a Dragon Longsword +4, and while I did concentrate on Str/Dex/End, I did up my vitality, magic, and faith up to 18. I think my spear does 133 physical and 133 magic damage, which can kill the silver skeletons in NG+ in world 4 in a single heavy attack combo'd with a regular attack. I finished the game awhile ago, focusing mainly on endurance, strength, and dexterity. Primarily using a moon winged spear +4 for the majority of the game. Now on NG+ everything seems to 1 or 2 shot me at SL 100. I am OK with things being challenging, but thats a little too unforgiving for me. Perhaps I will continue to play this guy, but ATM its a little too frustrating. ...

Yeah that guy is pretty ballin. He's Korean though, so he is naturally good at games. He was probably playing SC on his computer while playing all 3 of those characters.

I wouldn't risk it. Just use a resurrection stone, suicide, goto the nexus, check the tendency, then zone back into 2-2. Repeat this until you are in PBWT. You MUST return to the nexus for world tendency to update, so be sure to return after each suicide so it can update.  BP Scirvir is pretty easy, you can drop down on the platform at the back of the pit across from his cave and ...

I managed to take down the blue dragon with around 200 arrows using the lava bow. Just get him to 50% where the two ministers are, then run up and shoot him in the head in the 2nd area.

Yeah I need PWWT in world 4 to be able to get the morion blade... Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that. I've never died in that world (always suicided in nexus) and i've helped half a dozen people take out the storm king and that stupid thing is still out of my reach on top of that rock in 4-2... /sigh

I need components to upgrade my sticky bow so that I can kill the stupid blue dragon. Just let me know what you need...  And as a side note, what bow did you guys use to down that piece of shit, my sticky bow +2 only does around 10 damage using heavy arrows.

@msdss: Use the clever rat's ring and morion blade in left hand with HP less than 30%.  This is called "hyper mode".  You should be able to kill the blue dragon with sticky compound long bow +5 with few arrows.

I've never killed any merchants, and the only BPs i've killed were invaders in other peoples games, and the ones required to progress through the level. I find this most disturbing, and quite frustrating.. =/

Hrm, this doesn't make any sense then... I have beat all bosses in the game except for 1-3 and 1-4, and have never died in a level ever. i've always suicided in the nexus first. Only world 2 is white tendency.... Any ideas?

I hope it is not misplaced sir! ;) For the time being I think I am going to concentrate on getting weapon upgrades and burning all my unused boss souls. Unfortunately I think alot of them can only be obtain in pure white/black tendency worlds which I have no idea how to do. I posted asking for help but so far no luck on replies. =(
