finished playing the campaign last night, and never really had any noticeable hitches.  i do have detail/texture settings to high and playing on 1920x1200, BUT no AA or the like.  personally AA is totally unnecessary unless you're an absolute stickler for smooth edges; i always turn that stuff off.  you may wanna try turning AA off because frankly i have a worse-performing card than you do...a Geforce 9600 GSO, which ...

well...if there was a bright side to all this, i'm guessing MW1 on pc is still well-populated =\  i've yet to check for myself...will probably hop onto MW1 when i get home.

but...but....wikipedia is the new Encyclopedia Brittanica!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -_-  theoretically speaking, that wall-hack (or whatever is being used in that video) can be used on the 360 version of the game too right?  only thing being that you'd have to port over the script/code from the PC to work on the 360 version.  it might be possible given that the L4D demo for the 360 was moddable back when that was released.

man, after seeing jeff/brad doing the MP quicklook for the PC version i was seriously reconsidering buying the game since it looked fairly solid even though i was part of the many who hated IW/Activision's decision to remove dedi servers.  this thread has killed it for me again lol.

all things considered, i'm pretty sure Activision KNOWS the PC sales of the game will be piss poor.  it's more like wishful thinking on my part, but i feel they should at least lower the price of the launch-day release of the game to kind of make up for it....get people tempted to buying the game i guess?  from my point of view, i'd definitely reconsider getting the game if it ...

not sure if piracy is so much the issue.  the 360 version of MW2 is currently being pirated to no end; who can resist the idea of playing the game early?  granted people probably don't want to go online with it.

it definitely is a buzzkill with the whole MP situation on PC, but i'm looking forward to the campaign since i also enjoyed it in MW1 like most people did.  when it goes down in price i'll be picking it up also.

got XP on my main, Win7 on a secondary HDD.  i just went with XP in the poll.

if i recall, there were a good amount of Silent Hill games that were released on PC.  that latest one, Silent Hill Homecoming, was ported to PC as well.  i've yet to try out a single SH game though, but those might be good options for you.

o lawd.  the frying pan is awesome.  i love the clanging sound effect when you hit a zombie.  but yeah when you get to expert mode, you'll probably might want to keep a pistol on-hand to "snipe" with it.  it's just way too risky using a melee weapon and getting close to zombies unless you have a chainsaw...which we've all yet to experience.
