Skate is not the skating sim I thought it was :D

Also, I don't think Hotline Miami is important, but it sure is sick, perverted, disturbing and sort of repulsive.

I completed it twice. First time in one sitting. In both a good and perhaps a bad way it feels like everything guys like Jack Thompson are scared of. It feels like some sort of brainwashing experiment. An addictive, pulsing, beating and head bopping one.

"The trick that Hotline Miami employs perfectly is offering no time for thought during its violent gameplay and then offering abundant need for reflection through pause and uncertainty of narrative."

Nonsense. I never stopped thinking "What the fuck am I doing!?"

The market is a weird thing. It seemed so obvious to so many of us that these social game companies were getting overvalued like fucking crazy.

It's been like the IT boom all over again, just on a smaller scale.

It's crazy to think that a seven year old console still costs $200+

If you see the Wii as little more than a GC, then that's at least as nuts...

Hopefully George Broussard is nowhere near this project.

This is more of a Scott Miller project

That may or may not be a better thing

While Miller did some good things, isn't he also essentially the guy who let Broussard and company fuck 3DR into the ground slowly over more than a decade? I feel like his association still matters.

Announced in 2007 guys - http://www.3drealms.com/news/2007/06/earth_no_more.html

Who would dare do this?

They haven't even put out an estimated release date, have they?

Time to cash out. Wonder how long they were obligated to stay with the company after the sale...

Bayonette 2... If it's really a WiiU-exclusive, I think this might be a pretty strong move for Nintendo. Sure, it won't get moms into stores, but it might be enough to appeal to the disappointed old-school N-fans, and it probably didn't cost much.

Patrick is cool with writing that he doesn't know what GPGPU is when it is so easy to look up? Also, it's actually a pretty normal expression in the context of GPUs...

It could be free and I still wouldn't want one.

That's a lie and you know it.

Nerds don't turn down free shit.

This is Tested all of a sudden?

Anyway, Apple unveils a new iPhone that now suddenly has a lot more in common with the competing Android phones than it used to. Larger screen, wide screen aspect ratio, faster hardware, for some reason lower resolution than higher end Android phones though.

The biggest takeaway from this announcement is how relatively uninteresting it is.
