Just wandering about how GiantBomb as a community feels about adventure games, Specifically click and point but of course not exclusively, cause i dont wanna exclude great games like Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey island ;) For me personally i've always loved adventure games. The focus on story, plot, the unique visual styles (Machinarium, Curse of Monkey Island) and dialogue, whether hilarious or otherwise. I feel the "Adventure" genre is forced to focus on characters and story, which i always appreciate. Of course Adventure games are in no way perfect. The main problem being gameplay, and pacing in general can be trivial. While this has never bothered me personally (it comes with the territory), i could see why people would dislike the gameplay or pacing (and of course sometimes people just dont wanna use their brain ;). So i ask you, the respectable members of Giantbomb; what is your opinion/s of Adventure games?
