I don't really care what anyone believes, but I think the people who believe this will cause more problems than their 'apocalypse'.

Edit: Wow. Hitman, this post wasn't directed at you. I just randomly clicked on a topic to post and saw just now you posted right above me. Really weird coincidence.

I research conspiracies, but it seems some scientist believe there will be some solar flare which can knock out the power grid which will bring us back to the stone ages with no power for many years. It's not only george lucas who's paranoid, the u.s government already bought under ground missle bases converted into a shelter incase anything happens. These things are very expensive and lots of millionares are actually getting their own shelter just incase.

 
I mean for me it wouldn't hurt to stock up on water supplies and can foods...ammo lol, medical supplies and stuff like that. I doubt a solar flare will happen but wait and see I suppose. Anything could happen, since ppl expects something to happen, maybe the government could use this time table to their advantage because everyone is expecting some apocalyptic event. Even an epidemic could happen, they release a more potent version of the H1N1 virus and declare martial law at 2012. We will find out next year, it's good to be prepared.

Well, he scheduled those 3D Star Wars remakes already, so he must not truly believe it.

He's since denied it ( here), but it sounds a lot like a denial I'd make if someone outed me for my own crazy beliefs.
