These thousand dollar donations are pouring down like rain. Looks like they are going to exceed what they made last year and then some. HYPE.

@spaceinsomniac: No idea. But the frame rate was terrible before I changed it too.

I figured this should be it's own thread since Hawken came out on PS4 recently.

I kind of like it. I'm told it's heavily downgraded from the PC version, as you can't actually customize anything about the mechs aside from microtransaction camo and colors. Also the frame rate is something fierce. It's very fluid and reactive but then the frame rate dips and it looks bad.

Also the mech they give you from the PS+ bundle seems to be OP and most of the people I've run into are using it. The rockets can lock on from a pretty decent distance and this mech has an ability that increases damage for a short amount of time. So you kill other mechs, even the big tanky ones, pretty fast.

Not that there's much to spend it on, but you seem to gain currency pretty fast as well. I was a bit worried at how expensive some of the mechs can be, but it seems like you can just buy those after 2 or 3 good games. I think I got like 6k in one game for example. So the money rolls in.

Anyone else check it out? It seems neat aside from the massive downgrade in what you can customize, and also the frame rate.

If you do check it out, I recommend going into the options and pulling the FOV out as far as you can. At the default setting it feels very claustrophobic.

This. I've been a sub for a year or two now, and I've pretty much figured out the system. I can send a game back from Wisconsin to KC on Thursday, and a new release will ship on Monday. And definitely do the putting games on list you think you might want thing.

I've had Gamefly for years. This is the tech, always have an open slot if you want a new game to ship out release day. Put all the games you think you might want on your list and remove as release date approaches if you change you mind. I've never not gotten a game on my list doing this.

Indeed. I've never not gotten a new game with this method. It always works for me.

@n7: I know that, but my post office is pretty large/high-tech compared to some other ones I've seen. It's possible they don't have the capability, but I don't know for sure... I wish there was a way for me to find out, but doesn't seem like there is.

Sounds like someone at your mailing center is incompetent. I don't know how the mail system works, but it's possible people just don't know to scan it. I worked at FEDEX(Same principle) for like 5 days and sometimes you'd swear that you've already scanned a package, but you didn't, so the automated system doesn't pick up that it's in the truck. So it could be happening there.

If you go to your Q and click on the Fast Return icon below the shipped games, you will get a message. In the message is this:

NOTE: The USPS does not have scanning equipment in all locations. Therefore, not all GameFly members will be able to participate in this service.

So it won't always work due to the equipment of specific locations.

I'm not sure why it would vary at all, but I guess the mail system isn't as 100% consistent as possible, so your game would sometimes go through places that can't scan for it.

Does Kojima age? He looks great for a guy in his fifties.

For every year his games remain in development his youth is maintained. Which also explains why his games are always delayed.

@humanity: To further your point, while The Phantom Pain was set in Afghanistan, they actually used Jordan as a reference. Not that any of us would be able to tell.

*sigh*

I used to buy pretty much an Resident Evil game regardless of reviews since it's my favorite series and I feel the urge to try these games for myself. Sadly, not even I can muster up the cash to purchase piece of trash. Hopefully we can bury this thing with ORC and keep our fingers crossed for RE7, which at the very least looks interesting.

That's what I don't get. Capcom has shown they can make decent decisions. Revelations was a hoot, Revelations 2 was a very exciting direction for RE. Then they announce RE7, breaking the walls down and starting over. All interesting additions, different in size and scope, but each bringing something new to the table.

Then Umbrella Corps(More like Corpse amirite lolool) comes out, is a terrible game, and we're all just sitting here like, really? This is where you chose to go?

I'd like to see even more unique entries into the series, as Capcom has shown to be selectively competent, but I guess when you've got enough money to fail, who really cares?

I'd love to play a Bouncer remake. That game made quite the impression on me in my younger days. I really liked the look and feel of it and I thought the character designs were cool. I mean the guy with demon horns is Volt Kruger and he wears a leather jacket with cactaur on the back! How is he not the illest?

The story was also pretty crazy. Pretty sure you're all a bunch of bar owners and the girlfriend of one of the main characters gets kidnapped and it ends with them on a space station fighting androids? Pretty rad bruh.

Also I think it was implied that Kruger got his horns because he went to hell? I'm not sure, it's been roughly 15 years.

EDIT 3: Just checked and the website is still up. Here is a choice selection from the bio of Sion Barzhad.

Bouncer at a bar called FATE. After losing his girlfriend two years ago, SION closed off his heart.

But DOMINIQUE's bright and warm heart is beginning to open him up again.

Silver accessories are his trademark.

SION loves the DOG STREET brand.

EDIT 2: OHHHH I JUST GOT IT. They aren't bar owners they are BOUNCERS, hence the name.

EDIT: Just look at the synopsis, this game was the shit.

The Mikado Special Forces kidnaps Dominique Cross and it is up to the three bouncers of the bar, Fate: Sion Barzahd, Volt Krueger, and Kou Leifoh to rescue Dominique and put an end to the Mikado Group international megacorporation.
