It is so sad that we dont have Uwe Boll anymore to give us the video game movies that we so desperately long for. The world has lost such a great talent today and the video game movie genre is the poorer for it.

I am myself using a commercial anti-virus software but I would recommend getting a couple of add-ons for your browser which can make your surfing experience much more secure.

1. Get no script add on...which blocks websites from running any kinds of scripts withouth your approval

2. Get ad block...i know this is a curse word for many websites but you can allow ads from the websites that you trust...there are occasions when malicious programs get inserted into ads (even neogaf had that problem a few days ago)

I know websites dont like ad block but after having had to reformat my computer 2 times a few years back a bit of extra security is a good thing since the websites which had the malicious programs certainly wont compensate me financially for the troubles that they caused to my computer. Not to mention how annoying the pop up ads got a few years back. Or the ads that kinda hijacked your whole browser by starting to run some kinda of video withouth ever asking if i want to see this particular ad. I dont have anything against subtle advertising but i hate this in your face kind of advertising that doesnt even ask you for permission.

Also people can say that they dont use ad block or no script and their computer is just fine but even then their computer could be infected. My computer could also be infected right now even when I am using 3 separate things in order to protect it from viruses.

I just dont understand why EA decided to release Titanfall 2 between two huge established gaming franchises (Battlefield and Call of Duty). To top it all they dont even offer an early access type thing with the origin access membership which is kinda crazy when you can play 10 hours of bf1 by being a origin access member.

By delaying the release a few weeks EA could have had the fps multiplayer market all to themselves since people might actually think of trying titanfall 2 out when they get tired of playing either bf1 or cod.

@rubberbabybuggybumpers I think the reason why people are using scouts is that the class seems much more effective than they were in bf4. The skill level when it comes to aiming with scout rifles seems lower than in the previous battlefields. Also according to levelcapgaming ( a pretty well known battlefield youtuber) dice made it so that scout rifles can actually kill people with one shot if the distance between players is less than 20 meters or so. And you dont even have to aim for the head according to him.

On the other hand the machine guns and lmg´s are much less accurate than the more modern versions of them. Also due to the open nature of many of the bf1 maps it is pretty much an open hunting season for scouts. The minus side with scouts is that people tend to snipe people even while the node close to them might be captured. I have had a few occasions where the node was captured and the sniper or snipers stayed at their spot instead of trying to recapture it by doing some close combat.

This is a great way to convert people into buying vr devices. Make them pay for trying it.

I do like the multiplayer but I am still not quite sure if i like the ww1 style multiplayer as much as i like the bf4 style multiplayer. I am kinda missing modifying the weapons with different aims, grips and so on. The singleplayer campaign seemed interesting but not sure if I want to buy the game yet when dishonored 2, watch dogs 2 and final fantasy 15 are coming out in november.

Those games are kinda more to my taste although I would probably spend a week or 2 playing bf1´s multiplayer. Though it is kinda shocking that the singleplayer campaign has only 6 chapters and the first chapter is more of a cinematic intro to the campaign than an actual mission. Even on hard difficulty the second chapter didnt take that long so kinda pessimistic on how long the remaining chapters will last even on hard difficulty.

I have about 2 hours left in my trial of the game so can still get a few more matches in before i have to make my decision on buying the game or waiting for a sale.

I think its is safe to assume that the hosts will repeat their loop if they arent interrupted by the guests in which case that interruption will set off current active story for that host. In dolores case i think the idea seems to be mainly that guests can play to their darker side with Dolores current loop (aka guests playing as a villain). But they do say that Dolores is actually the oldest host in westworld so she has had probably dozens of other story loops before this one.

The thing i am myself actually wondering is how the guests can separate the hosts from other guests. Doesnt it get a bit confusing trying to figure out which ones are the robot/androids and which ones are the real humans. Doing that knife thing to a real human guest seems to be a thing that could actually happen just by accident.

Although i do like the episodes that I have seen so far I must also admit that episode 3 was a bit slower than the other episodes before it (though last 20 minutes of it were pretty excellent). I am just wondering how they can extend the idea of the original movie ( filmed in 1973) for the whole season and possibly a few seasons more if the series is successful (which i think it has so far been in ratings). I just dont think that they can carry the show for several years on the strength of the plot on which the movie was based. I wont go into the movie since it kinda contains spoilers for the people who havent seen the movie.

I must say that the single player part seems better than most of the single player campaigns which i have played in the battlefield series. There are actually really touching moments during the first 2 missions which are available in the early access thingy.

Though I would be lying if I said that I wouldnt have had a bit of rough going during the second mission (which is lot longer than the first mission which could be termed as more of a prelude to the real campaign). But then it kinda hit me why I found the going a bit harder. Its because of the world war 1 style weapons which are a tad slower to load and less accurate to fire than most of the weapons available in battlefield 3 or 4 (also no laser sights or any of that other stuff that helps with the aiming). I am also a bit unfamiliar with some of the guns available since i didnt use most of them in the multiplayer beta.

But dice definately seems to have made some refreshing changes to the singpleplayer campaign. Then again it is still very early in the campaign so hard to say how it all will come together as a whole.

I kinda dont understand how this growing up should just apply to playing video games. People enjoy a lot of activities which can be classified as the recreational kind. Gaming is just one type of how people spend their free time which is generally down to people having more free time than they had in the past. Some people continue gaming through their 20´s and well into their 40´s, 50´s and so on.

One just usually doesn´t have as much time to dedicate to playing games as an adult as one used to have when you were younger. So peoples gaming tastes kinda change or at least they start playing games differently than they used to. For example I dont really have patience anymore for really hard rogue like games or the ability to play platformers as well i used to. When i was younger I could dedicate hours to trying to get past a difficult spot but now I just rather pass those kinds of games.

There is nothing wrong if you find at some point that gaming isnt for you anymore but you kinda also have to remember that most sports are also forms of entertainment. So for example continuing watching football isnt really a sign that you are becoming more adult it just means that instead of playing video games ( a younger form of entertainment) you are watching and enjoying a form of entertainment that is older than gaming but you are still watching basically an activity (football in this case) that is also a game. Football as an activity just happens to be played out in real life instead of in the form of 1´s and 0´s.

This was my first time playing this game. I must say that the samurai setting kinda interests me more than the medieval setting found in dark souls games. The game reminds me a lof of dark souls but i found that at least in the beginning of the demo i could switch between the different weapons a lot more than i can in dark souls games. Though it could be that the time commitment later on will prevent one from raising skills with several different weapons.

I actually stopped playing the game when i encountered the first real boss in the demo. This wasnt because I lost interest in playing the game but i just thought that there is no point in continuing playing the demo since the progress that I made wont be transferred to the actual game.

The learning curve reminds me a lot of dark souls games (it even has the same kind of shortcuts to the shrines/bonfires). At first i had trouble even with 1 npc but later on i could sometimes successfully fight against 3 opponents though those instances were pretty rare. Anyway will definately buy this game when it is released.
