I BEAT NINJA GAIDEN... ON A FRICKIN' DANCE PAD!

I BEAT NINJA GAIDEN... ON A FRICKIN' DANCE PAD!

I spent eight months--EIGHT MONTHS--trying to beat this game, and I finally did it... on a dance pad.

Tell your friends about this! 200 views isn't nearly enough for an accomplishment as great as this!

Another great series. Awesome job!

This makes me feel a lot better about how I've spent the passed 8 months.

"Now I have horrible joint problems and a 'couple' of nervous twitches!"
People watching this: please don't do things like this to yourself. Beating Ninja Gaiden... just regularly needs nerves of steel. I can't imagine what this dude went through.

Posted by JJOR64

Great work!  I'm a fan of your other playthroughs as well.

Posted by jking47

you are the master of gaming
I was going to come and make fun of your caps lock, but if I beat ninja gaiden with a dance pad I think I would be stuck in caps lock too

Posted by babblinmule

You are a god among men. That is insanely impressive!

Posted by JJWeatherman

Oh wow, Nario's back!

You're one crazy-ass motherfucker! In the best possible way.

what the fuck

Posted by Molenator85

You are either a robot or some kind of advanced alien life form, either way, congratulations!

Posted by Ghostiet

Fuck you, man. I mean it in the most positive way. I can't use my fingers the way you use feet.

Posted by SethPhotopoulos

You better be fit from this.

Posted by Nario

hahahahaha! These responses are all awesome!!!

Thanks to those who stuck around and waited for me to finish this! Most of the games I played previously took around 2-4 weeks, but this one took over eight months!

Does anyone know how I can get some extra views on this? I'm trying all I can and can't even break 300 right now, and yet I hardly did anything to pimp out Super Mario Bros. and it gained 120,000+ views. I don't know how YouTube works!

Posted by Brendan

Nario, why do you keep doing this to yourself?  Why?

Also, people probably type in Mario in Youtube a lot more than Ninja Gaiden, so your Mario video naturally got more attention.

Posted by XenoNick

HOLY MEGA FUCKING SHIIIIIT! DUDE YOU ARE FUCKING INSANE! INSANE I TELL YOU!!!

Are you Jesus in disguise?

So that's where you've been.

Awesome dude, just plain awesome.

That wouldn't explain how Castlevania easily got 50,000 views, though. Even Giant Bomb had heard about me beating Castlevania, because they read about it on Kotaku... but I don't know how Kotaku found out about me!

I don't know how to make the magic happen again. Mega Man 2 got less than 8,000 views and Castlevania III got less than 4,000 views. Do the gaming news sites just don't care anymore? I spent eight months on this!

The wider audience cares a lot more about something the first few times they see it.  By now the gaming sites won't care as much and the views will probably be less although the core group of people who always want to see it will continue to watch (me included).  Doesn't tarnish the achievement though, man.  Gooood work.

You just mastered one of the most useless skills ever. Still it's impressive. Also you're crazy

@Nario: probably edit your mario run and have a link to your gaiden one. hopefully that helps.
Well done man.

And now you know what the voices in our heads are saying. Maybe. Do they speak the same dialect of Gibberish in your head?

This... is a triumph.

Man Duder, you are a fucking mad man. Props to you, this must have taken the patience of a zen master.

Try posting this to Reddit under their gaming subreddit, that might garner you some more views.

Oh man, as soon as I saw NES game and dance pad I knew it was you. You're crazy.

I still can't beat this game :(

Posted by Scribbly

Too crazy. Seek help. Congratulations, but you're a fool for trying something as batshit as Ninja Gaiden on your dancemat. Great work.

That's a good point. I'm just worried that there are people who would be interested but haven't heard of me. I mean, I've inspired people to try other games before on a dance pad (I've actually seen someone beat the Deku Tree on Ocarina of Time on one before!), so I know that I what I do is influential. I don't feel like this is a waste of time, and that's why I want people to know.  I mean, look at how much of a response this thread has had: people are still interested, people are still drawn to it, and that's why I feel like the word needs to get out.

Crap! I was going to reference that in the video, but I forgot to! Thanks for reminding me; I'll do that sometime in the future, all in tribute to Ninja Gaiden. Trust me, Ryu Hayabusa has had his fair share of getting knocked into pits!!!

Don't worry, I said the same a few months ago, and that was with my hands too! I can do it easily with my hands now, and you can too someday!

1. Mastered? Eh, I still can't beat Contra or DuckTales with the dance pad (DUCKTALES! Seriously, who would have thought such an easy game would be harder than Castlevania on a dance pad???), but I will agree that this is totally impractical.
2. Thanks!
3. Yeah, I know. :)

This is clearly the work of a madman.

An awesome madman, but still mad.

@Nario: You are a god.
Posted by TehFlan

I still need to try and beat this game on a controller. :/
Great job, though, dude. This is the most impressive thing I've ever heard.
