1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
One of the very few games for me personally that has ever successfully lived up to the hype. Skyrim is an experience not just an incredible RPG with a huge world waiting for you to discover the hours will just fly past. The events that took place during my journey is something that will last a lifetime.
2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I just love everything about this game, the art style, gameplay, story, player choice and of course Adam Jensen perhaps one of my favourite characters in video games. Very few games nowadays allow you to experience the game how you want to but HR leaves it up to you.
3. Killzone 3
The Killzone franchise is my favourite franchise of all time and the second game is reason why l play video games today and yet Killzone 3 makes its predecessor look bad. The multiplayer has been refined to make it the most most appealing FPS on the market. Killzone 3 will be a game l will play for years to come.
4. Dungeon Siege III
Now this came out of the blue, Dungeon Siege III is a fantastic hack 'n' slash, dungeon crawling RPG with a great story to it. The combat is fun and the adventure you will embark on is even better.
5. L.A. Noire
L.A Noire is something that nobody has experienced before. There a plenty of open world games available on the market but they don't have characters you care about, a solid storyline or great dialogue which is all featured in L.A Noire.
6. inFamous 2
Personally my favourite Super-Hero game ever and most of the credit goes to Cole McGrath, he is one of the very few characters in video games who seems to be believable. When you play through this game you feel like a real super-hero or villain.
7. Dark Souls
If anyone was to describe this game to me l would have immediately said absolutely no way, This is not my type of game. Dark Souls will destroy your confidence at times but what makes Dark Souls so special is the sense of accomplishment. The game is completely fair and you only have yourself to blame if it all goes wrong.
8. DiRT 3
I thought Dirt 2 could not possibly get any better but l was wrong. Dirt 3 mixes arcadic and simulation racing and it does it successfully. The driving feels terrific and there is plenty of content to complement it.
9. Saints Row: The Third
How is it possible to describe this game so l'll just say you spend most of your time hitting thugs with a dildo while streaking through the town with a rocket a launcher available at the ready. This game is the definition of mindless, dumb fun.
10. Resistance 3
I liked Resistance 3 for the opposite reasons from the previous title. Where the the chaotic multiplayer was the main focus in the second game so l was surprised to found Resistance 3 had really dark and personal campaign which was interesting from beginning to end.
