Games Finished in 20 Ought 12

Stole this Idea from Bai, seems like a great way to track what I've played

List items

  • Creepy, yet atmospheric. Picked it up on Steam on sale, but it was fun. Overall though, not sure I'd play a sequel (if that were possible)

  • Very fun the first time through, if I didn't have a massive backlog a 2nd play through on New Game Plus would definitely be in order. Instead it's on to the next game that will make this list. Played this on steam also.

  • So, 183 hours in, I think you could say I liked this game. It played ok on my old PC but I still was enamoured with it, So once I got my new PC built it played awesomely. If Mass Effect 3 wasn't coming out tomorrow I'd likely still be playing this for the next 3 months. Game of the year for 2011 for me without a doubt.

  • Played this on PC also, 41 hours total. I had an awesome time playing my male renegade, infiltrator Sheppard with lots of scars, but damn if it doesn't make me want to play through ME1, ME2 and then ME3 again. Will be tough to top this for my game of the year, but here's hoping.

  • PS3, 11 hours or so. I had forgotten just how excellent the combat is in God of War games. That combined with the jaw dropping visuals & excellent music made this a great game to play. One of those games I wish I owned instead of borrowed, because I really like the thought of playing through it again.

  • Another short game that I was able to squeeze in between my backlog games. Really enjoyed it all the way through, but I lost my buddy right at the ending, what a bummer! I'm going to make Susan play this one also (she did play and enjoy Flower). I'm not sure it hit as many art game ideas for me, but I blame my OCD collectioninsm for that.

  • Was able to squeeze this in before Diablo 3. I played it on steam, just under 11 hours, but I'm not fully convinced that it was a great game. The PC version didn't get the visual bump I'd have liked, but it still looked good. Playing the shooter on Wii and the first one last year I really liked the fiction, but DS2 didn't quite do it for me. A lot of jump scares to be had, and the shooting was ok, but not a game I'll play through on NG+. Also it was very annoying how long the load times were, even though it was on my SSD.

  • What can I say, 12 years of waiting and it was still awesome to play. I think Susan and I may be the only people in the whole world who care about the story of the single player, but whatever. Now time to play some more characters and level up to the point of all my friends (max of course).

  • Played this for the first time on both PC & ipad. I now know what all the fuss was about.

  • Just finished this on steam. Very fun game, but not as challenging as I was expecting. RPG elements were cool, but I'd like a game where I had to choose 1 path, and be locked into it. I usually ended up going through stealth, killing everyone, going looking for all possible items/secrets, and then moving on. Oh, and the boss fights except the final one were pretty terrible.

  • PC again. I really do enjoy the Warhammer 40k universe. Game was a lot of fun, about the right length for my taste. I think it could have been improved by using some of the Dawn of War level up mechanics, but definitely worth the few bucks I spent on it.

  • Played this on PC. First playthrough I was the commando, lots of fun, but I wish I had played a little bit more co-op. We'll see if the guys wait for me to play the dlc, etc.

If we haven't gotten a 4th person for our pack, maybe I'll get Susan and new PC and play through this again with her, because I'd really like to try out the other classes. Seems like this game is going to be just like Diablo III. Something I want to play all classes up to the max level, and likely never will. Oh well though, it's a fun enough game that I hope to come back to it, and that mean it stays installed.

  • Not sure how many hours I put into this on PS3, but it was one hell of a fun game. Weird doesn't really begin to describe it, particularly the last portion of the story and the end game. I say I've "beaten" the game merely as a sign that I'm done with the story, but I really want to unlock the rest of the animals, as they have all been different and fun.

  • Just finished the Enhanced Edition on Steam. 43 total hours, and I'd strangely enough like to play it again.

Turns out you don't need to collect absolutely everything, but that's just me. Very fun game, but the way the combat progresses is dumb as fuck. Fuck the operator and his 6 gargoyles. The story, visual style, quest structure was all a lot of fun, but I hope the combat is seriously improved for the next one, which I will definitely play.

  • Directx 11 = yes please. This game looked absolutely phenomenal, and I think is going to be tough to beat for a while. The gameplay was fun, but weapons & enemy types didn't vary as much as I would have liked. I will definitely play some Crysis 3 though, just to see how pretty it is.

  • Waited for a steam sale and picked it up. Was a lot of fun and longer than I thought it would be. Wasting fools from the shadows is one of the all time best things ever. Going to leave it installed to try out some of the alternate costumes and see how they change the overall play style.
