@unastrike: It's a common misconception that capturing gives you more rewards or "better" rewards. If World works like they used to, capturing just gives different rewards. Carving will generally be better for getting common materials like scales and hides, whereas capturing has a better chance for less common materials like webbings and plates. It just comes down to what items you're hunting for!
(Though capturing can be a handy way to finish a quest a little earlier if you're worried about that last faint...)

Assuming that the Charge Blade works more or less like it used to, if you keep attacking in sword form after it's all the way charged, your sword attacks will always bounce until you discharge into the phials.
Yes that is correct, the charge blade will overcharge and bounce on every hit until you discharge.
FYI, when you get orange damage numbers its not a critical, it denotes that spot on the monster is a weak spot and you will damage the monster more by hitting those spots, common weak spots are the head, belly etc.
Shame, Nioh never even got mentioned, great entry into the dark souls like genre, good mechanics that gave a fresh breath to the genre. Cuphead, honestly looked good, had tight controls, but I found that once I beat that game once, I never wanted to go back to it because the only thing that kept me going was to see all the art in the game. The gameplay never was the strong point in that game for me.
just fuck dream daddy, they talk about digging deeper into the game to enjoy it, then how about Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn? Its like they just did not give those games a chance.

I am with Jeff, when I think of best world, I am thinking which game made me care about the setting and made me ask questions and want to find out what happened in a game's setting. Horizon Zero Dawn is the game that really stood out for me this year. Normally I couldn't care less about collecting side items but the world of horizon was so interesting I wanted to find everything to find out all I could about the setting and why there are robot animals and people who are somehow technically in the stone age. Moving through that world is not the best for sure but I dont think that's what Best World should represent
