I am all over this game. I loved Persona, I loved most of the other MegaTen games, so I can't wait for something HD out of these guys!

I'm gonna refer you to this topic ( http://www.giantbomb.com/castlevania-harmony-of-despair/61-31137/charlotte-spell-absorb/35-436210/#13 ) which explains a lot of things about Charlotte's spell absorb, which is the main way she gets stronger.

But to put it in a nutshell, absorb more of the same spell (albeit from a different enemy, not the same one you just got it from) to make that spell stronger. The more spells you have, the better your attack and defense becomes and at certain points will change your attack animation altogether (i.e two axes come out of it as well, as you may recall from PoR).

This looked AMAZING.

 Also, the music. Dear god, the music. Even though I only heard snippets of it, I can only imagine how freaking epic the main theme must be.

I have to say yes, and I doubt it'll be topped.
...I haven't been this addicted to a game in a long time. ;_;

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Crissaegrim from Symphony of the Night (shoots blue-like blades, really fast?). That's called the Valmanway in this game and it's dropped by the boss on Chapter 6 (the gold chest) on Hard Mode. It's pretty rare from what I hear, so get your luck stat up and happy farming. ;o

EDIT: Btw, you can view/download replays by going to the leaderboards and to the overall tab (unless you or one of your friends placed in the top 10, ofcourse).
And just to be sure I'll write this more clearly; you can only view a replay of the current top 10 players of any particular leaderboard.

I'm the whipping bo -- I mean Jonathan.

I really like his (support-like) playstyle and his subweapons.
Plus his wheel-whip is really useful in some situations, especially  vs a certain boss who throws out sickles (and lots of them).

EDIT: Oh! Since you asked about his subweapons, he gets subweapons like the Holy Cross, Bible, Holy Water, Boomerang and a variety of others (lots of them, tbh) and they're all pretty decent when you level them.

Well, part of the leveling comes directly from the equipment and leveling your sub items to make your main weapon stronger (at least in Jonathan's case).

It also seems when you pick up food drops your stats may or may not randomly increase (like strength, intelligence, etc). So while there's not a direct EXP reward for killing stuff, you will still level your character's stats one way or another. But I agree, that may not be enough for most people and I totally get that!

The levels are fairly replayable, and there's like at least 300 different items and equipment to get. If you're a loot person, you're probably gonna get a huge rush out of this game, I know I am. Coop is insanely fun, I played it earlier with like 5 people and it's insanity.

If you got some buds who are into it on your friends list and you like the overall loot-aspect of the game, I honestly can't see why this wouldn't be a good buy. Best 1200 MSP I've spent in a long while, anyway. =D

I loved Bayonetta. This news makes me squirm with joy. Premature, sure, but I'll take anything at this point as even Devil May Cry 5 has been MIA for a while now.
