My year of gaming in 2011 so far

Well this year I started a new job were I get to work from home a majority of the time, and recently I've had little to no work to do. I've been able to chip away at some games that i've had for a bit. I got around 10,000+ gamerscore on my xbox, and 100+ trophies on the Ps3.

Early Jan- Finished Dead space finally. One of the older games I've had for the Xbox. Great boss battles.

Mid Jan- Finally finished Uncharted 1 on Hard. Such a great game, the gameplay, graphics, story just all flow so well.

Late Jan- Friend got Guitar Hero's warriors of rock. Went through most of the story in a short time, have to borrow it from him soon.

End of Jan-Early Feb = Limbo. I really have to go back to finish it.

Early Feb= N+ Got stuck on a hard level early on, haven't went back.

Early Feb= Finished the story in Modern Warfare 2. Was intense opening fire in the airport. The story in those games, are short but very sweet.

Late Feb= 100% Pacman Championship DX edition. Pacman is soo addictive.

Feb= Finished the story levels of Super meat boy. One of my fav downloadable titles, so hard, but so rewarding. The intro song gets stuck in my head all the time, and I randomly yell superrrr meat boyyyyyyyyyy.

Early March- Finished Tomb Raider GOL. Got all the achievements expect the collective everything one. Had a great time playing co-op with my gaming brother Danomite.

Early March- Finished Alan Wake , and the DLC. Good horror game. Alan must be the most out of shape person ever. Your life depends on it, Run for more than 5 steps dude.

Early March- Went through the final DLC for left for dead 2. I chipped away at that game for awhile, and got 980 achievement score. Some hard ass cheevos in that game.

Mid March- Went through God of War 1 on the ps3 collection. Major fanboy of the ps2, had the game, but never played it. Great action game, looking forward to playing the next 2.

Early April- Started to do the story for Battlefield 1. Played some of the muti-player which is fun, but the levels are huge. Lost interest in the singleplayer, should go back. Was planning on playing the 1st 2, before the 3rd came out, not impressed EA never really dropped the price of 2 much.

Early May- Finished the story of Dantes Inferno. Funny how just playing GOW 1, they literally stole the controls. Decent game.

Mid June- Finished Assassins Cred brother hood. This and Danes were gifts from my wife. Think Enzio is such a cool character, want my kid if I ever have one to be named that. Love how you become head of the guild and have recruits. Heard the online component is fun, but haven't tried it yet.

Mid June- After chipping away for a bit, finished Deadliest warrior with every character. Its one of those shows I can't explain it, but I love to watch it. Plus in the game you can be a pirate, and shoot people.

Late June- Finished Mortal Kombat vs DC in story mode with both sides, and some of the arcade with DC. Hate how fighting games cheevos are so hard. Not that they should be easy, but show some creativity. Beat arcade/story with 800 characters, perform this 700 combo move. Ughh.

Early July- Finished the story to Black Ops. Played a ton of multiplayer like most, took awhile to finish the story. Some cool scenes, that intertwine with history.

Early August- Finished the story of Mass Effect 1. Didn't go through it 3 times for all the cheevos, great story, and franchise. Looking forward to playing the 2nd soon.

Early August- Finished the story mode off in Zombie Apocalypse. Love zombies, repetitive game.

End of August- Went through Marvel Ultimate alliance 2 as both Pro and Anti, plus the Dlc. Think I'm missing 4 or 5 cheevos. Love these games, as im a big comic fan boy. Hope they make a third, instead of that awful x-men destiny.

Late Sept- Went through 3 quarters of the story mode in south park tower defense. Sweettttttttttttt. Will go back eventually.

Late Sept- Finished bulletstorm on hard. Didn't get that many cheevos. Was a really fun game, killshots are very cool. Dont' think i'll go back to finish on very hard/get more collectables.

Late Sept- Went through story mode in Mortal Kombat 9, and i have 80% of the crypt unlocked. One of the greatest reboots of all time, as I loved the original 3, yes even 3.

Mid Oct- Finished Duke Nukem Forever on hard. I actually had a ton of fun playing this game, very humorous, and great boss battles.

Late Oct- Went through Arkham asylum on Hard. Greatest batman game until its sequel I understand. I really felt like I was the bat. Although I must be a numbskull had a hard time with the combat on hard.

Early Nov- About an hour away from finishing Uncharted 2. This series is such a great blend of sooo many elements. I find myself staring at the world, which i dont' do often. Naughty dog really made something special.

Early Nov- Not starting any games, as i'm waiting for Modern Warfare 3. So it should be non stop muti player until x-mas. Can't freaking wait.

Super Meat Boy

This game really takes me back to the platforming days of the old NES. It can be curse out loud difficult at times, but it just makes it that much more rewarding. I'm at Dr Fetus in the light world. Should beat it by the weekend. I'm positive I'll never be one of the 2.3 ish% to complete dark world though :P

Elder Scrolls 5

Glad to see its officially announced. Looking forward to having a new engine, which hopefully has less bugs than the previous. Although I have my concerns. I thought fallout 3 was great, but Oblivion ranks higher in my book. Thinking of taking an official holiday, when 5 comes out. Wonder if they spruce of the cheevos a bit, rather than all story related?

Cooling on Black Ops, hello borderlands

Finally getting around to borderlands after getting to Level 33 on black ops. Love the mechanics of buying items with call of duty points. Although I agree with 1 reviewer that it takes a bit away from leveling up. I stand by the fact I have no interest in ever going for prestige :p. Its amazing the mechanic of adding leveling up to muti-player has taken the gaming world by storm. Its addictive .. very addictive. Just 1 more level.
