Games that I hate

I don't normally like to use the word 'hate' to describe games because I realise that I could be potentially dissing someone's favorite game ever, or at least a game they're rather fond of. Sometimes though a game truly stirs up my ire and here's the list, all apologies in advance, but don't get too upset if you disagree, it's just my opinion.

List items

  • God I hate this game so much, I can't even explain why because I'm normally an unquestioning fan of the Final Fantasy series. It's well documented in my review on this site, but so many things about this game just annoy me and I generally can't stand anything about it, so much so that it shook my love of Final Fantasy to the very core.

  • This game is just a jackass. It's a great concept but it's so damn annoying to play, you spend half the game knocked over and the rest jamming on the attack button. It's too shallow to justify a purchase really and it recycles too much from the movies and the Star Wars Battle front games. It's the very definition of a cash in.

  • The spearhead of Nintendo's casual market push, I admit it's not really a game but it's on a GAME console, something that's supposed to be for games. Some of my anger towards this game could be directed at the people who go nuts over it (a good portion are in my family, my shame knows no bounds), it's the power pad crossed with a bathroom scale, get over it.

  • This and almost any other mini game collection of it's kind on the Wii. This is the kind of terrible budget game that would come out in the middle of the PS2's run for about $20 that everyone would ignore but Nintendo's marketing has given it new life. It has charm for about 10 minutes... when you're drunk... after that though it becomes annoying and tiresome. Again, a good portion of my anger could be directed at the people who obsess over it.

  • Ugh... just a disgusting game with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The setting is ripped off from Norse Mythology which wouldn't be a bad thing if it weren't so goddamn boring. The characters are either annoying as hell or just plain dull, though making Norse Mythology incredibly boring I guess is an achivement of sorts. Worst of all is the gameplay, the game is broken from head to toe, menus are slow and dull to cycle through, combat just doesn't work at all, it's just misery from start to finish.

  • If I had to come up with a game that brings everything that's been awful about Final Fantasy into one package I'm sure I'd have come up with this game. Tedious gameplay, a non-existant story that also manages to be stupid at the same time, butchered characters and character designs and some of the worst voice acting I've seen in a mainstream game.

  • As bad as you've heard and then some, it really is.
