I brought this up in another thread. I'm fine with it, but I can see a lot of people getting frustrated and hopping to different servers since they won't be able to WvWvW while in the overflow servers(as I understand it?).

We'll have to see how much this really does screw people over.

Edit: As for that poll, take that with a grain of salt. ~5k voters is nothing. Plus, the people who have been linked to that poll could easily just be from a community that has already decided to roll on Yak's Bend.

I just know Yak's Bend will be popular because it's where the Yogscast and GW2Guru guilds are going, so that's a huge old zerg of people alone.

Yeah I'm cool with it, I just don't want people to start getting split up. And @craptain you can play with people on any server (Isle of Janthir, for example, where the Reddit guild(s) are going) you just can't WvWvW with them. You can join a guild on any server though and be in multiple guilds (can only rep one at a time though).

Be ready for queues or locked full server in head start. Just read that the Yogscast and GW2Guru guilds are rolling on Yak's Bend too.

I'm not saying we change, I think Yak's Bend will be baller, I just hope people are prepared to not be able to login to Yak's Bend during the headstart.

Like some others have said, GW2 is really nothing like GW1 besides lore-ties (setting, story, universe, etc) and a focus on and system for organized structured PVP. I didn't find GW1 amazing, but I can objectively say it *was* a good quality game (just not my cup of tea how they handled character creation and the campaigns, rather than expansion).

I'm not sure how that may convert to mine (EST), but I'm the type of person who is only on super early in morning till mid afternoon (my time, EST) -- so from my past experiences, that's around peak NZ/Aussie time and maybe super late Euro time? My point: I'll probably be on around the same :P I may as well not be in a US timezone since I never play at "peak" hours.

The most enjoyment I got out of Diablo 3 was the 1-30 experience. When you start repeating acts it just feels like a grind. Then when you get to 60 it is just a grind. When Blizzard themselves use the phrase "farming" in explaining their end-game, something is severely wrong imo (in the 1.0.4 preview, they use "farming" multiple times). Since when is "farming" passable as the main type of gameplay? o.0 Farming should be something the player does out of choice, if he doesn't want to progress in the "normal" designed way. Maybe I'm just oldschool like that.

I got D3 with the WoW Annual Pass, so I can't really regret it. I got some enjoyment out of it and made a few bucks in the RMAH *shrug* I'll pick it back up again when they add any sort of endgame.

Man, I don't think I'll make the cut for the main sPvP team here - though I guess I can run support and help them with their builds, hah. I need more time in the mists to get my skill up - this is what I get for not playing games competitively since GW1.

I do, but I mainly casually do it. I dabbled in 2v2 arena with a RL friend of mine in WoW a few years ago and it was a blast. We got a decently high rank and all that, 2k+, etc.

I'm mainly a PVE guy though. I love how GW2 just kind of lets you do WHATEVER you want at whatever pace you want.

Duders! I'm totally down to roll with the Lincoln Force. Was going to default to one of the reddit guilds, but a strange tingle in my loins told me to check if the GB community had a guild going, and voila; here I am.
