If you have three friends, Left 4 Dead can be a lot of fun. Even though each game is always a new experience, it gets dull play the same four campaigns. However, there is always versus which is a lot of fun with friends and a good strategy. The only reason I would get World at War if I was you is if all of my friends switched from Modern Warfare to it. Both are great games. I'd just pick up which ever game my friends played the most.
I'm really enjoying the NXE. I love the avatars. I'm a sucker for those cute and color fellas. I love the way everything looks now, the themes especially. Installing games onto the hard drives are great. Too bad I don't have an Elite to install a lot onto.
I recommend Fable II, Fallout 3, and Call of Duty: World at War. Those are what I'm asking for. Left 4 Dead is really fun, definitely a great co-op game. I'm enjoying Grand Theft Auto IV a lot. If you're into something a little bit more fun and less serious, try Saints Row 2. Just as fun, maybe a little less polished. Though I haven't played it, Lost Odyssey seems like an amazing JRPG if you're into them.
For multiplayer, definitely check out Left 4 Dead. It's a whole lot of fun, both campaign and versus. The great thing about it is because of the AI Director, each time you play, it's always a different exeprience. I rented Saints Row 2 and really enjoy it. It's a sandbox game that feels similar to Grand Theft Auto, but totally different in my opinion. Saints Row 2 is a little bit more wacky and not as polished, but what it does, it does great at. I was actually getting into the story too.
So far I've only played Tales of Vesperia which was okay. The fighting really annoyed me which was probably the biggest reason why I didn't enjoy it. I feel like I didn't give it enough time though. I'll get around to renting it again some time soon.
