@Cimi93x: Do you have 3D Vision installed with your NVidia driver? If you do, try uninstalling them. There was a problem with the game's interaction with 3D Vision that causes horrible frame rate, and I know they said they fixed it in the latest driver, but maybe they didn't?

How bad is the frame rate? I imagine you should get 20 fps ish with that setup, depending on your resolution

Okay, so it's a midi file. I think I'm missing the point, Is it a throwback to something?

@MordeaniisChaos: How about a real place made to look like Mirror's Edge? All white with a touch of high contrast colors here and there?

@eclipsesis: Also, if you're into editing .ini files, check out the post from BoobPhysics101 on this thread: http://neogaf.net/forum/showthread.php?t=430456&page=57

He has some predefined settings for certain setups, and I found his Performance Focused configuration works well for me, got quite a frame rate boost. But you can also tweak the values, again, if you're into playing with these things.

@RYNO9881:
Don't worry it took me probably a hundred tries also but it is doable, a good night's sleep would probably do you good for your next try.

I played it the way Zithe described, save all your vigor for Aard and basically get close and do: Aard, heavy, heavy, dodge (don't dodge immediately, learn his timing and dodge when you think he's about to attack), repeat until out of vigor and roll around until you get your vigor back.

@FeelTheFunkness

Just based on those two components, I have:
Intel Core 2 Extreme (Quad core @2.53GHz)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M SLI

I think our processor spec is similar but I'm not quite sure about the video card, mine might be more powerful but I don't know for sure. I can barely run the game on Medium settings at 1920x1200 (can't be more than 30 fps, plus hiccups particularly when there's spell or fire effects). I hope that gives you some idea?

Are you using a silver sword?
Yes, this is probably not obvious if you're not familiar with the fiction or you didn't play the first game, but you'll need a silver sword to fight monsters.

@DoctorLazy: Yeah, the combat needs a better tutorial, but even after I got a good idea of how it works the amount of dodging you need to do makes the combat look and feel pretty silly. I feel like it's not consistently responsive too. But maybe you're right and it just takes some getting used to.
