I don't even know why I bother going into @KaosAngel threads anymore, its not like he cares about anyone else's opinion, as they are obviously inferior to his own.
I think I prefer Spartacus... its better paced. What I really don't like about Game of Throne is the jumping between story plots... Its like made for short attention span... you get like 5 min of one story, 5 minutes of another, 5 min of another, and then jump back to the first. This is understandable when they are trying to bring them together so they are showing things happening at the same time, but... most of the time its not.
I could see how one would think all of the plots weren't all interconnected from the movies, but in the book, which uses the same technique, you definitely get a better understanding of how they actually are. They just don't have enough time to make it blatantly obvious how one characters story affects everyones in a 50 minute episode I guess.
@nickl: I just paid attention to what was tweeted at me about the article. I just wrote about a site I found to be interesting as I'd never seen anything like it or anything like this site either. I'm working on updating the article to reflect these recent findings.
Sorry for the confusion drew, I meant the guy in the comment section who created an account just to comment on the article, not you.
I like that this guy: http://n4g.com/user/home/jarquemclark replied to Deno546 in this n4g topic: http://n4g.com/news/1178760/gamewise-is-the-imdb-of-video-games
and then when looking at his posting history, its 90% links to Gamewise: http://n4g.com/user/comments/jarquemclark/all/1
And then the person that replied to me on the HuffPo says almost word for word the same thing (irony) and they just made their user about 20 min before the response on the n4g page.
Don't forget the part where the guy from the HuffPo comment admitted he read this thread, while it's obvious that an admin was taking down pages as they got mentioned here.
edit: "Brian Berford" made another comment on the article giving 4 examples of non-plagarized content, maybe someone with a HuffPo account should compile him a nice list of some plagarized content.
I know it's a long shot but Rorie does fill a reviewer role that GB doesn't have covered... Maybe they can finally get around to putting that man to work.
Kind of surprised they're taking it live this soon. Streaming videos don't work, looks like they just straight up removed the option (kind of a big deal on site where video content is the point and their progressive player doesn't allow skipping), and as of last Unprofessional Friday, the live chat still crashed if you breathed on it the wrong way.
I like the new site though, only thing I don't like design-wise is that reviews are now constrained to a fixed width column like news posts and can no longer resize take up the full width of the screen. IMO they're not as nice to read as a result.
Streaming barely works on the current site. It only works with the quality set to auto which almost never picks 720 for me (even though my internet is more then capable of watching 720 with no buffering) so it looks terrible usually.
And the beta site only has a small amount of their total resources devoted to it, which hopefully means the chat won't crash with the full site resources at it's back.
