N64 - Almost impossible for me to choose between this and Half-life. Big nostalgia factor with both games. But I think Super Mario 64 holds up better today than Half-life.
PC - An almost perfect shooter and an influence on virtually all FPS's today. Those headcrabs and zombies gave me nightmares.
PC - My first real MMO. Can't put this any lower if only because of the time I've spent playing it. Something like 1000 hours. I was immediately addicted to this game at a level unlike any other game I've ever played.
PC - My favorite RPG. It probably hasn't aged too great. At the time it came out, it was really a blockbuster. I got completely sucked in. FF7 is the reason I started playing more RPG's.
360 - Games that have a significant emotional impact with its characters and story are pretty rare. I got absorbed in the world and really connected to the crew mates. I hadn't felt that way about a video game in a long time.
Wii - The best platformer since Mario 64. Great sense of exploration. Incredible soundtrack. Tons of variety. Awesome game.
Wii - Unique setting, style, and the paintbrush mechanic all meshed together perfectly. The story and music were surprisingly engaging. I could not put this game down, and immediately wanted to play it again.
PC - The best adventure game I've played. It's still one of the most overlooked PC games of all time.
NES - My favorite game from the NES days.
XBOX and PC - At the time, probably the most influential FPS since Half-Life. Playing system link matches with friends was some of the most fun I've had playing games in my entire life.
Half-life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2 - PC - Didn't get around to playing any of these games until the Orange Box was released. A completely worthy sequel in every way.
PC - Nostalgia entry. I must have played this game when I was younger about 4 or 5 times for the different endings. Everything about it at the time was a new experience. The first fully voiced game I played, and it made a huge impact.
SNES -
360 -
Wii -
PS2 - Didn't get around to playing this until 2009 or so, but it lived up to the hype for the most part. Great "bad guy". Sin was just so completely oppressive and intimidating. Tidus' voice actor pretty much was my only real complaint.
PC - The best game of an underrated series. Many 3D gaming innovations were evolved from Descent. Before Mario 64, this was the 3D game world that I got lost in.
PC - A huge step forward in RTS games on the PC. The graphics, story, and class balances were all a generation ahead at the time.
