Dragon's Dogma is the only game I want a proper sequel to. Other than that I'd prefer new things to be excited about.

@notnert427: It's not so much about preference but rather the really shitty way in which these kinds of characters are talked about. Words like "pussy" and "pansy", that they should "man up". Maybe it's because I personally relate to these characters more than say Geralt or Nathan Drake that it strikes a nerve in me.

Yep, I knew this thread would be mostly bashing of young men with fragile emotional states. This is why western games are full of toxic masculinity.

As someone who played the hell out of DW 3, 4 and 5 but nowhere near as much of 6, 7 and 8, Dynasty Warriors 9 sounds super interesting to me.

I just hope they mean it when they say they want to be more historically accurate with the costumes again. Some of the characters and outfits were getting ridiculous.

I feel like I'm the only one who straight-up doesn't like the soundtrack to this game. At least, I don't think it's particularly remarkable.

Playing Dynasty Warriors 3 and 4 on Hard to get the high level weapons with my brother is some of the best times I've ever had with video games.

This is exactly why I don't like these games and a lot of anime. The tone-deafness always rubs me the wrong way. Not to mention the sexualization of teenagers in a game that's being critical of how adults treat young people. A lot of Japanese media is very much about "having your cake and eating it too".
