Favorite and most played game of the year for me. The first MMO that I really enjoyed and played for a long time. The gameplay is incredible fun and it's just simply pressing a button and watching an animation. Movement and speed are needed and make the gameplay more dynamic. The world is absolutely gorgeous and the story and quest are for the most part really interesting.

Just got this for Christmas so since I haven't finished it, putting it this high may be kind of a reach. However, I'm loving the game so far and as of this moment it is my 2nd favorite game of the year, even without finishing it. It just has a fantastic mixture of interesting story, fun gameplay and combat, and beautiful towns and landscapes to travel around.

Pretty decent campaign with some minor complaint. Fantastic multiplayer but without a memorable map in my opinion. 343 didn't really do anything new with Halo, which is pretty disappointing to me, however it still is a wonderful and fun game that I really did enjoy a lot.

My favorite multiplayer game of the year. Nothing beats playing co-op Borderland 2 with a buddy. Also the story, writing, humor, and basically everything else is a big improvement on the 1st game, which was already pretty awesome to begin with.

My sleeper game of the year and one that I feel is look over by a lot of people due to the problems 38 studios had. This game was amazing though, definitely my favorite combat of any game I played this year. Story wasn't amazing so therefore it's not any higher than 5, but it's definitely one of my favorite games of the year and I wish it got more recognition.

Very fun gameplay, interesting character customization, and a pretty decent story. All of that for just $20, such an amazing deal!

My favorite sport franchise and for a good reason. NBA 2k13 once again out does it's previous year's version and really impresses. With fantastic gameplay and a ton of fun modes to play, this game is massively addicting and a ton of fun.

I have only played episode 1 but I really want to play the rest. But because I've only play 1 out of 5 episodes I wont put this any higher. However, I know this is going to be a top contender for GOTY and I can definitely see why.

I know Minecraft didn't come out this year and probably shouldn't be on this list. However, this year I have discovered the Tekkit/Technic mod, and it has made the game fresh for me and is something I put a lot of my gaming time into. I am on a fantastic giantbomb tekkit server and I have met a lot awesome people on there to play with. So while it isn't a new game, it is such a huge part of my gaming life that I just had to put it on the list, even if it was at a lower spot.

This was a game I was really looking forward too, I mean I played the demo about a million times. However, while the game was good, I found that I got rather bored with it after a while. This game had such wonderful combat though and a really cool companion system, so I wanted to give it some recognition, even if I didn't play the whole thing.
