You have a good two to three years before the next console generation will be in full swing. During that time you're going to have a blast with your 360. Pickup Bioshock and Fallout 3 for two excellent experiences that be purchased cheaply.
I've never understood the Dualshock hate, i'm fine with it. Then again maybe it's just because i'm used to it because it's basically been the same thing since the ps1 dualshock.
I still don't understand why console makers have not made multiple controller sizes/models to offer users more options. I had to buy this batwing locking controller back in the ps1 era in order to be able to play comfortably. I miss that thing. :(
I've decided to pick up a PS3 this summer, and was wondering if anyone knew of a good controller replacement that mimicked the sticks on the xbox 360. I've always felt that the playstation controllers were simply designed for people with much smaller hands than mine, as I get pain in the hands within twenty minutes of using one. Any suggestions for quality third party controllers?
I'm Michael. I'm 33 and for the last decade I managed a bicycle shop, coordinated multi-state bicycle tours, and built custom bicycles for people. After the recession wiped out our shop, I decided to go back to school and am now at App State, and feeling really old.
I seem to be slowly losing my interest in video games, as games begin to focus on online multiplayer and gritty themes or whimsy and quirky fun. I think it is sad that the PS3 has had three killzone and resistance games, but no Ape Escapes.
I've recently fallen in love with board gaming for the social aspects, and hope to see Nintendo return to their roots for their next (hopefully waggle-free) console.
I think gaming should focus more on fun rather than realism, and local multiplayer over online multiplayer. Though honestly it seems like the industry is evolving into something I don't really see a place for myself within.
So they are going to sell this for $40? It looks like a five dollar iphone game!
Doesn't look like one to me, besides, these games offer quality over, cheap games with crap controls.
I'm not arguing that an iphone version would be better, just that games like this shouldn't be sold at a $40 price point. Would you pay $40 for this on XBLA or PSN? Of course not. The value proposition for games like this and Steel Diver just don't add up to $40. This game is going to be bargain bin fodder in 12 weeks due to the lack of multiple MSRP options for publishers.
