I could very well do that, just bringing up the idea to see if it would be a good idea or not to have a little box on game pages with a score. Already seems like it's ending up to be a bad idea :P

Not 100% sure if this is the right forum, but I was thinking why don't we have a part on each games page for a rating from a site such as Metacritic?  Seems like it could help people who are looking to purchase games or just curious what some games got since the giantbomb crew can't really review every game.
Or maybe there is something like that and I just can't find it?

Very true, what about Modern Warfare? Lots of recycled stuff there.
What about GTA series?
How about Halo?  EA sport games?

If I had the time we could probably name off the majority of games that recycle stuff. As long as it's someway different than Diablo 2 and Blizzard's other games, then that is what the fans including me want!

GTA1 and GTA 2 are still quite fun I found.

Obviously Starcraft 1.

Uhm, I find that if the controls were bad and have since been changed in newer versions then I can never go back, such as Warcraft 1...Selecting 4 Units using only shift? OMG *dies*

So I was just thinking back to when I first found Giantbomb and was thinking about how my first impression was, I think it was around when it first went live (August-ish) and I came here because I heard about the Gamespot review scandal.
My first impression was quite confused and not very interested because the look and feel of the site wasn't like your typical gaming news/community website I believe I also felt like there was a lack of information that other sites offered which turned me off. A few months later I somehow stumbled upon the site again and just clicked around which led GB becoming my fave. gaming site and ending up loving it because it wasn't your typical gaming site.

Anyway I am making this post because I'm curious how other people felt when they first came across Giantbomb.

@Raymayne: No not really, when I played MW1 Multiplayer I had to reformat my computer...little did I know that my multiplayer profile was NOT saved on their server, so to my surprise when I go to play my fully stocked profile is gone.

So if you're looking here you are probably a PC gamer and if you're like me you've had to reformat because of either a new computer/crash/virus or whatever. If you've done that then you might have experienced something along the lines of forgetting to backup your game saves for a game (CoD:MW for example which I lost all my Multiplayer profile) and losing all your progress. Well I've found a solution to your woes of lost game saves!

Enter Gamesavemanager.
This program will search your computer for all your games, including Steam games (and ones supported by steam cloud if you don't trust it) and then you will be able to make an archive will all those save files. The database is constantly being updated and if your game isn't supported there is an option for custom game save locations.
It can even set a scheduled task to back up your games while you sleep.
But what happens if my computer crashes and all my archives are lost!?! You ask.

Enter Dropbox (or if you want to be nice click this referral link + you get an extra 250mb)
Gamesavemanager has the option to back up to your dropbox folder so you will have a cloud based archive of your game saves that you can access anywhere!

So what are you waiting for? Protect all that time invested into your gaming and save those saves!
