It has been a very long generation, the night I bought my xbox 360 and brought it home feels like it was a lifetime ago and in gaming, it was. But finally we are standing on the starting line for the next generation and I've decided to list my top games for the last one.
This list will probably have a few spoilers.

Two of the best realized characters in gaming brings this game to life like none before. Excellent dialog and thrilling gameplay made this a game I couldn't stop playing until the credits rolled.
Naughty Dog didn't go big and bombastic with The Last of Us, where Uncharted always tries to top itself with more explosions and bigger set pieces, The Last of Us was filled with quiet character moments that made you care for the characters.
The Last of Us is also one of few games where you could actually read the feelings of the main characters by just looking at them, sometimes words are not needed.
And that ending, oh man.
I love westerns. Sergio Leone has made some of the best movies ever made and Rockstar didn't hide their inspiration when they made Red Dead Redemption.
In my opinion Red Dead Redemption is the best game Rockstar has ever made. They nailed the setting, the music and the feel of the world. Riding slowly trough the desert and watching the sunset was one of the most beautiful moments one could experience this generation. Just writing about makes me want to fire up the game again.
When the very very late title card showed up I got shivers, the last few hours are probably this best you'll experience in gaming.
