I have shitty by the numbers open world fatigue.

I thought I might be over open world after Watch Dogs and Mordor (Mordor was a great game but the open world didn't add to it) then I played sunset overdrive and GTA and realised that its not open world games that bore me, its open world games that are just open world because that's what's standard now. Make the worlds interesting put nooks and crannies in them, make the side quests more than simple pick three flowers bullshit I still really love open world.

I have a PS4 but PS+ is a laggy mess where I live so I guess ill be missing this.

Im on a pretty slow connection (2-4Mb) and its fine for live, but PS+ is another story.

Was it the best year ever? no.

But we had Sunset Overdrive, Mordor, Jazzpunk, South Park, a good COD, and while Titanfall wasn't the next big thing it was hyped to be, it is still the best FPS I've played in years. You also have DA:I, Forza Horizon 2, Far Cry 4 and Smash which are apparently great but I haven't had the chance to pick up yet.

The worst year I can think of in recent times is 2012. 2014 blows 2012 out of the water.

Heists in the first update, cool.

Also PC people haven't been waiting 2 years. Its been 14 months since last gen launch and you have to wait another two months, a total of 16 months, for what will be the best version of the game. Also there was nothing stopping you from buying it when we all bought it, nothing stopping you from buying it now and then nothing stopping you buying it during a steam sale in a years time like I plan on doing. you waited because you chose to wait.

Hyperbole gets on my nerves sometimes.

Firstly WTF with the spam post above mine.

Secondly I was amped as shit for last years release and I was already going to buy this version for the upres graphics.

Now it has:

100+ new tracks on the radio

30 people in multiplayer

and a goddamned FPS mode.

Not to mention all the other little things.

You know just changing the multi to FPS will fundamentally change the way most of the mission types play and feel. My whole problem with the multi, especially any death match kinda stuff was the shooting. It wasn't any fun . It was lock on, shoot, kill. Thats OK Vs mooks and shit but it sucks when shooting people. The shooting in that trailer looked FUN, at least as good as an average FPS, which is still miles ahead of 95% of all third person shooters.

I was so fucking amped I pre ordered the collectors edition soundtrack in vinyl.

Any idea where we should do it?

Where is the star citizen thing being held? If its close to the PAX venue, maybe something around there?

I've been to some shitty boring parties in my time, I've also been to some holy shit what the fuck just happened parties.

The thing is most of the time you can tell which is gonna be which when you show up.

then there are those 1% nights when shit gets weird and you have a story to tell for the rest of your life.

I guess I'm saying those dude ranch nights can sometimes be worth it.
