A Whole Bunch of Posters about Old Game Consoles

Every year at my university there is an event called Frag 4 Cancer. It's pretty much what it sounds like. this year, I am supplying a ton of retro gaming stuff. In preparation, I've done up some posters about the histories of the consoles that I'm bringing (there will be other information out there, but this is the bulk of it). I thought that some of you might be interested to see these, and you might have some comments.

They still haven't been edited, but in terms of information this is basically it. It's not really possible to fit the whole history of the NES on one page, but I'm pretty sure that I got the main points and some flavour in each one. And I'm Canadian, so I spell some words with a u. Sorry.

PEACE.

Well they sort of are. For example, they are both

...

um...

they both have...wait, no...

...

They're both Japanese.

I misread the title as

A Whole Bunch of Old Posters about Game Consoles

I'm only a little bit disapponted, though because these are neat.

@Ravenlight: I some of those...but they're big and I have no way to scan them.

And thanks :)

I bet if you were to compare a 32x painted red and the a virtual boy they would look pretty similar.

@c0l0nelp0c0rn1: My mind is now completely blown.

wait there were 4301,67 virtual boy consoles sold? that's still a lot :D. I like 128 reds, that's pretty funny.

Edited by nintendoeats

@Pop:The number that I kept coming across was 770,000 sold, but that includes sales after the point when they reduced it to liquidation prices. Nintendo could have done more to make it a success, but the numbers that it did really weren't enough to produce a viable ecosystem and it had zero momentum. It was pretty much in the situation where the Vita is now.

I have never heard of the Vectrex, so this has been educational.

@believer258: I was very surprised to discover that the GB page is atrocious. I feel an obligation to fix it (cause I'm the only person on the planet with two of the bloody things), but I'm not sure that I have time.

Yeah, they need quite a bit of spell check. But good.

those are pretty cool. i like the design of them.

@nintendoeats: oh I though 770,000 was the amount of money it made not the amount of units sold.

I, too, had no knowledge of the Vectrex before reading this. I would definitely like to try one some day if I get a chance. Good job on the posters. Nice and informative.

That's good to know, I'll re-label it so that it's clearer.

Just come on down to Nova Scotia in mid-October! And then you totally can! I don't actually have any other idea where you would come across one in the wild, they're pretty uncommon things. Even the arcade games based on vectors are old and not typically seen in today's anemic arcades.
