@monkeyman04: I feel you pain here. I'm in the same situation with a friend for this game and others, like the upcoming No Man's Sky.

I really enjoyed the streams and this poll is nice.

The streams did influence my buying decision by solidifying my initial desire to go fully into the Rift, but I'm not able to afford the $600 for the Rift at the moment. I'm not turned away by the first-gen hardware or software. The price of the VR headsets makes them a purchase needs budget and savings plan.

@magicwalnuts: Yeah, Shipbreakers was a cool name. I do agree with other more that for this game and what it is, that Deserts of Kharak is more appropriate.

Gearbox is letting this out with little marketing behind it, but with the way this game had been funded I'm not too surprised. I would have at least liked to have seen Steam showcase it a bit more on their storefront. The game really seems like one that is for people that really enjoy dipping into the Homeworld lore, and who like the RTS gameplay of a Homeworld game.

For myself, I get goosebumps when I hear the musical cues, the names of the clans, and see the camera angles pair with the visuals. It has an amazing style to it that just screams science fiction book cover.

@isomeri: True. I was using the cable that came with my Lumia 925 until I bent it. Now using the cable from a Samsung Galaxy S4. (^-^;;

I like the little light that the official PC controller's cable has on it. The light looks like a nice but unimportant touch.

Is the cable with the charge kit the same as the one include with the PC only marketed version of the Xbox One controller?
I've purchased a Xbox One console wireless controller to use with my PC and would like to have an official cable.

I'm set on getting an Xbox One someday, but I still have some questions as to how the TV experience of the console is working for the Japanese consoles. I've looked at the Xbox website and it lists split screen TV viewing as a feature, great. The press shots of the console also appear to show the Japanese version to have identical ports to the US version. So does the TV turner / split screen viewing work just as it does in the US?

I saw a support article on having to use the IR blaster, and I assume I'd have to have a box that outputs HDMI. At the moment I just have the cable from the wall going straight into the TV. My TV doesn't have HDMI out, so I might have to find a box to convert the free over-the-air signal to HDMI. Even then does it support the guide functionality like my TV where I can view the schedule for past and upcoming shows?

I'm getting the 500 error as well.

Browsers where the 500 was found: Opera (25.0); Chrome (38.0.2125.111 m); Internet Explorer (11.0.9600.17351)
Location: Sendai, Japan
Comments:
I finished watching the quick look for Lords of the Fallen around 15:30 (Tokyo time.), and clicked the "Giant Bomb" title banner to head back to the homepage. I was then greeted with the 500 error.

@patrickklepek: Hang in there Partick. The last couple weeks look like they have taken a huge mental toll on you and others at Giantbomb. Their is sunshine through the clouds.

Also, I enjoyed the Star Citizen link. I've only put in $75 about two years back so far. However, after each passing newsletter and further developments updates I find myself drawn to put in another $125 for an explorarion ship known as a Freelancer Dur.

The funny thing is that the $200 I've sunk into Start Citizen is small compared to what I've spent on Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martian's Prepar3D (Prepar3D has a $200 pricetag for a Professional license, but can the exact same simulator can be purchased for $50 uner an Acedemic license.).

This is good news that Amazon is buying Twitch instead of Google, but what about the muting of videos on demand with copyrighted music in the background?

The muting of the music is incredibly annoying as someone who is only able to watch saved on demand content. The policy was a very "Google-like" move, and as Twitch is bring bought by Amazon now, where does this put the new policy on copyrighted music in video? Was the policy a result of initial talks with Google, or was it something the team at Twitch alone thought was the right thing for their customers?

This is fantastic news to hear form Microsoft. An official driver for their Xbox One controller was sorely missed. It's good that it is now out and will be seamlessly supported via WIndows Update.

I do slightly share Patrick's feels that having to have the USB makes the controller still not ideal for our usage scenario. More than likely Microsoft released the driver earlier than planned, so the PC targeted controller plus wireless receiver kit probably wasn't ready. I might be mistaken but I thought the Xbox 360 and One have different wireless protocols or frequencies. Rigging the 360 wireless receiver to work with a One's controller might not be the ideal setup that gamers want for the lowest latency.

I think we're gonna need a bigger box.
