  • The loading times were frustrating. Aside from that, this is just about the most perfectly put together game I've ever played.

  • This is how to modernize a style of game from the 16-bit era. Every aspect of the game is refined, making the game a joy to experience from start to finish. The ending was one of the best in any game ever.

  • This was a shocker. I was the guy who didn't care for Arkham Asylum, but this felt like an evolution in all ways. The combat felt better, at least to me, and I really enjoyed traversing the hub world that is Arkham City in between story missions. In many ways, this out Metal Gears Metal Gear, which for me is a great thing.

  • If you can't find fun in Saints Row: The Third, video games are not for you.

  • Easily the best game in the series, though I found like with all previous Elder Scrolls games, my interest waned long before I completed the main story.

  • It is on the short list of best platformers of this console generation. The superb artistic direction, score, and sound effects are very endearing.

  • I couldn't stand to play Demon's Souls for more than 15 minutes, but I found Dark Souls much more approachable while still be devastatingly difficult. There's no more satisfying a game to play in 2011 than this.

  • Some of the dialog and story beats are very silly and out of place, and I think having Isaac speak is to the game's detriment, but this is still a great action game, even though I don't like it as much as the first.

  • Shao Khan is as infuriating as ever, but he's entirely tolerable given the superb story mode.

  • I'm just not that big of a fan of the series. This definitely didn't impress me the same way Uncharted 2 did, but I very much appreciate its production values.
