Inspiration and Mainstream Concept

 So i have been thinking....

Why in the world do game developers like Crytek or other developers, want to make big budget blockbuster games ? Off course all the company's need to make money, that is a business suite. But i can't think of how lacking inspiration is on some note. Let's take a look at the first Crysis was well very awesome since it gave you the freedom to do what you want and how to attack, using stealth, running at great speed or using brute force. Also multiplayer was amazing since you have choice on how to attack the enemy in different ways with vehicles and such.

Crysis 1 and Warhead had also suffered from big pirates getting the game early wich off course is not good. Looking at Crysis 2,they took a totally different direction. Looking at games like Call of Duty, heck since Call of Duty it changed all shooters so everybody wants to be on that train. I have to be honest i liked almost all Call of Duty but i do not like Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops since the lack off support on consoles and pc's. Activision wants to please the shareholders not the gamers if you havent thought off it! But what i was saying look at all the perks, attachments and modes and going multiplatform is the way to go for most of the shooters these days since players want more rpg like modifications. For a mass market,i can see why crytek choose this path. They wanted to introduce a big series to a mass market who never played Crysis before on a PC or never had money for it. All fine and great but like me i am disapointed with Crytek.

Sure it's a demo what is out now but lacking in DX9 and patching the game after a few months to DX11 is just so bad for the PC community. Also why did they put auto-aim in it? For the console it would be better,as i think off it, auto-aim should be removed from every game it takes skill to kill! (reference to a other game). Where is the challenge for shooting when a bot is helping you? I don't  know.  Maby some people will never ever know how really good a game is on PC and how fast the reaction on it is.

My main concern goes to Singleplayer and Multiplayer for Crysis 2. If i get flames by people well let it be so, but this is my opinion.
I do know that it is yet again in New York like a lot of games have been. The City is massive and great for loads of action. Then again i have seen that city being destroyed every single game that has been out in the last decade. Aliens are also cool but then again, yes i said it. It is lacking inspiration. I know i am not the man to make a great game but i do know what to buy. I play games for fun, this is not feeling right at all since you need a mass market and people to attract it to them. Still the singleplayer is the same basic story. You are the only one who can save the world! Like i freaking care!

The multiplayer part like i mention a few alinia back. It is made by Crytek UK,the former makers of that where working on Star Wars Battlefront 3. They did remove a lot of the core things that made Crysis awesome. Nanosuit powers are now just lame, speed is now a core thing when you run and you can not choose it if you want to. Stealth goes down very fast even then before. And not to mention the armor mode is very weak. If you get hit by a few bullets your dead. So you can not run out to safety just to save your own ass but you get shot instant witch to be fair is lame. I know this isnt the final product i know it's a demo,at the same time all the killstreaks and the 'modifications' the small maps it is looking a lot like a CoD Clone with Nanosuits. After looking on how many people complain of the lack of inspiration at Crytek it crearly shows that they want money out of it.

What i  wanna know what are other people thinking about of the shooter genre? Is it lacking on focus for the player and go with the flow of the developer or go a other way to do your own thing. The story can be important but it could be fun for a few hours. Do you want more freedom to kill a enemy or complete a mission? I do miss it since every mission is go there, do that, kill them, hold the line, it's all corridor action wich is a shame.

I am not flaming on the developers, they do what they have to do make the audience have fun in there game. But i do not see any fun in the same generic rate how it is going with a lot of shooters. Looking at other games and making inspiration on that to improve it more can be helpful, but on all account this isnt going to work on all people. So that is more mainstream and will speak to a lot of gamers who think that is fantastic! Me on the other hand is looking for inovation and brand new inspiration when i look at shooters like Bulletstorm and Brink for a example. It's a shooter but it feels fresh and totally different witch off course to me is great!

Time for some Bulletstorm , kill with skill baby! Son of a dick! ;)
