So my parents suddenly started to get a little interest in wanting to try video games. Mainly, I was talking to them about how video games are interesting in a story sense because of their interactivity and by choices, not just the fun aspect of games. They have played old arcade games and enjoy those, but obviously they are very different compared to the story based games of today.

Now, they want to try a modern game to experience the story. However, my dad gets motion sickness very easily (he has a lot of trouble moving the camera). I wanted them to try something like Life is Strange, or even some Telltale games, but wanted some other suggestions about games that are good for new people who are not good with using a controller.

Honestly probably my game of the year beating out Yakuza 0, Persona 5, BOTW and all of the other great games this year. I felt such a strong emotion during the first trail when they did the reveal of who the killer was. The ending was also incredible, probably my favorite ending from any medium. Literally was the MGS2 and Nier Automata levels of crazy. Kokochi was amazing too, what a strong character.

I was more thinking back to the Life is Strange playthrough or Until Dawn where they did big chunks and paid attention to the story and everything. Would be nice to see that come back.

And I haven't finished it yet but it seems like playing through the other 2 aren't necessary.

I think someone from Giant Bomb should check this out. I know Patrick enjoyed the first 2 but I think maybe Vinny would be into the series since he liked the 999 series. Maybe a good candidate for a playdate?

Yeah I checked other games in the future to see if they have release day delivery as an option but they only give me two day for some reason now. I use to always get release day too...

So I pre-ordered Yakuza Kiwami on Amazon and have amazon prime and noticed that it is arriving on Thursday instead of tomorrow on release day. I check other games to see if it was just Yakuza and found that the games that I checked, they had two day shipping and not release day shipping.

Anyone else find the same thing now with amazon or is it just me? Thanks!

Hey so I got a Switch at launch and just recently have been trying to connect it to the internet so I can play Mario Kart online (have not needed to connect since now since what else would I play online lol). My router is not that far from the switch but there are walls in between. My PS4 and Xbox and everything else connect fine, but the switch can barely stay connected to people and often has trouble downloading updates unless I move it into the same room as the router.

So my question is, does the Switch just have notoriously shitty connection or is there a fix that people have found? Thanks.

La la Land and Rogue One were absolutely amazing. Didn't really feel too strong about much else this year.
