Plants Vs. Zombies or World of Warcraft.  Although to be honest, I've mostly been playing the Peggle mod within World of Warcraft lately, so any Popcap game I guess.

I wanted to like this movie but I just can't recommend it to anyone after seeing it.  I thought that the credits were the best part of the movie.  There wasn't anything totally wrong with the movie, but there was just a stale feeling that I couldn't get behind, even with Zach Galifinakas having a handful of great scenes.  All of the other characters aside from Zach could have been played by any other actor or actress.  Ed Helms was surprisingly flat, Jeffrey Tambor had maybe two lines in the entire thing, and I won't even begin to talk about the other douchy unlikable characters they threw in there.  Talk about a missed opportunity.  It reminded me of Old School, which was also a totally passable movie, but there was nothing especially memorable (Ok, the Tranq scene was quite memorable, but that's it :) ) or great about it, especially as the years have passed.  I thought this movie also suffered from overexposure;  the scenes with the tiger, Mike Tyson, and Zach letting the car door hit the baby would have been great moments if I hadn't seen them in trailers 600 times.  This movie seemed to be standing on a line between ultra sillyness and a semi-realistic rom-com, and ended up feeling bland in the shuffle.

That said, if you're looking for a decently entertaining summer movie it doesn't get much better than this when you consider the alternatives in theaters now, but if you haven't seen Anchorman or Wet Hot American summer, these movies will yield far greater joy to your silly bone.

Or just go see Up and cry like a girl.

@Origina1Penguin:

Does Red Faction have any sort of experience system to build your character or are you pretty much playing the same dude at the end that you started with?

@Stang:

Can you tell me more about why you haven't played very much of either? Are they both just not very compelling? Are you just busy? Or maybe you're playing Punch-Out!! like I have been :)

I only have the cash for one of these excellent-looking games and I don't own a PS3, so inFamous isn't in the equation.  Both of the quick looks make the games seem equally great, and all the reviews I've read seem evenly matched.  Which game is going to give me the greatest level of fun for my hard-earned dollar? The destruction in Red Faction looks hella fun, but I'm worried I will get sick of blowing up things over and over.  The sheer amount of variety in Prototype is very compelling, but I'm afraid the lack of focus will reveal an unpolished experience.  I can't really discern how these games will fare from the demos because they seem like the type of games that have a lot going on under the hood as I get deeper into the experiences.   RPG-style Character progression is a major plus.  Can anyone who has played both to completion help me make my decision? Thanks!
