When I read the title, though the obvious ones came up, something that came to mind fast, and one I don't see at all, is Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. That said, I'm glad you tried covering many games. Though I love many of the games mentioned, it's not often I imagine that Alien Isolation, or Crysis would be mentioned in such a way. Crysis 2 and three aren't as much fun as stealth games, but can work as them; the first Crysis is great at it, but only with the Korean enemies, which is actually pretty cool. Hiding in brush uncloaked, and then cloaking and running to the next brush which is perfectly situated due to the time just running out for the cloak is a lot of fun. Crysis 1 is one of my favorite FPS' alongside Butcher Bay, and F.E.A.R. As for Alien Isolation, that beat out some superb games to me in 2014 as my favorite game, and I still play it. That said, while I can't agree with personal experience of it, I unfortunately won't support the team that made the game with buying the DLC for the game, because none of it is what I want to play. It would have been awesome if they actually made some kind of story DLC.

@raven10: I didn't expect to like it as much as Bioshock, or even Half Life really, but I was hoping for something more interesting than what it actually was. It was more like, well if it's similar to Bioshock, I might like it. I love games with great settings, and great stories; Singularity isn't that to me. I didn't finish it, and have moved on. I'll pick it back up at some point down the road maybe.

I had no idea this game had co-op, which is awesome! I read that it was in beta on Steam prior. That said, what I am curious about is, does the second player that signs in also get trophies for the game, or does it work as a one profile thing? I mean, I did put another controller in just to see what it was like, and someone else had to sign in, and I signed him in and saw what the other character looked like and controlled like, but it wasn't enough of an indication one way or another since he plays as a secondary character rather than a duplicate of mine. I don't know if he'll be able to upgrade separately either, though that would be cool. So if I beat the game for instance, and my brother is playing with me, will I be the only one that gets a trophy? Trophies don't matter to me personally so much, and I have the feeling they matter as much to my brother as they do myself, but I think he would like to earn them as well, showing he made progress with me so to speak. I guess it's more incentive for him to play with me. It's just not as fun for either of us if one of us is not getting the same stuff, that is unless the other person simply doesn't care, but if we both intend on getting into something cooperatively, then we want equal progress if you will. Alright, thanks in advance if anyone has a definitive answer. I think I'll wait and see if my brother wants to play it before I jump back into it.

The thing that got my attention was that this could be a game that has an interesting story, and an interesting setting, shown by that E3 gameplay trailer, but then when they showed the gameplay of roaming the streets, and talking about how it's prodecurally generated, rogue-like, as well as just the way it looked (which looks like a game not fully done, which is what it is), it was kind of a turn off. Bioshock is one of my favorite games, and the gameplay trailer at E3 gave a tinge of that, and it made me hopeful, though now I'm not so sure.

If it is what it seems like, I'm disappointed. Not sure if I'd get one. I mean, if the power is lacking behind the One and PS4, I'm already disappointed honestly.

@ezekiel: If Half Life 3 stayed as the series always has, it'd feel too archaic to me. I didn't say it had to be full on iron sights like Call of Duty, I'd just like the feeling of pulling the left trigger and getting a different animation, and a bit of zoom, maybe similar to Dark Athena or F.E.A.R. I don't need realistic. Just because '500 other games' have iron sights, doesn't make Half Life feel any better. Half Life to me isn't necessarily that fast, so there's not much to slow down; it fits fine. It was a good implementation into shooters, even if it does feel samey now. Just because Half Life has it, doesn't mean it's worse for it. The feeling is what counts, it's not really about the accuracy, so it is possible to make it so aiming down the site is just as accurate as shooting from the hip, which I think is what they did with Halo 5.

Furthermore, I don't want a fast-paced Half Life game, at least, not for the most part. A gun to the side of the screen is not a good representation of realistic aiming either, so I don't really agree that that's more akin to reality at all, though I agree that it doesn't make sense that a gun zooms in when you use iron sights. I don't think it necessarily has to either (as in, I don't think developers need to make it zoom in, unless it's a sniper or something). I get what you mean by basically all games having it and being tired of it, but now, I'd just be disappointed if Half Life stayed in the past in that respect. Half Life 3 needs to be something new than what it was, if only slightly here and there.

I'd love a mod that implements iron sights on all HL2 weapons. There are old games that don't need it (older than HL2), but going back to Half Life 2 specifically, it's harder to enjoy than it used to be for me mainly due to that specific reason.

@ezekiel: I want iron sights, I'd be annoyed if there wasn't any. Though I agree, there doesn't need to be scripted moments. The way it has been is ideal.

@quantris: Yeah, again, it may be a petty thing, but I was partially excited for the Wii U because I was expecting Dolby Digital in which supports my set up (and, just before buying, I read up on it, but still expecting better), and nope, it was Wii all over again in that aspect for me. I really am hoping the NX supports it. I'm looking to buy a new set up, but I wasn't really looking to get a new TV, just another sound set up, new seating, and a new home theater entertainment center because I am bored of the way my room looks (and it's just really hard to arrange it with my current sound setup). I'd have to also get a new TV though, since my TV doesn't actually have HDMI IN. I don't really want to do that; not in my plans anyways.

@quantris: I know, it actually supports 6.1. I've read many times about what the Wii U supports for sound. I also know that it is better if you have the stuff for it. My point wasn't that Wii U doesn't support some kind of surround, it was that it doesn't support the kind that utilizes optical cables, which I still use, and the last-gen consoles (360, PS3), and other current-gen systems like the PS4 and Xbox One do support it. What I was hoping for with the Wii U is that they'd have that option, but they don't; it's just not as easy. I've read that they didn't buy a license for it from Dolby. I don't know if that's true, but it makes sense I suppose.
