This is a step in the right direction, its a shame to see the nextlander guys go but these announcements get me excited to possibly resub after my year ends this month. Previously I was going to drop the subscription.

My main hope is that I can Sub here still and maybe use my twitch prime sub for nextlander to watch their live shows and show them a little support here and there.

Dan is back and Danny is here too...c'mon now lets have some more Danswers.

This is so surreal news. It has surprisingly saddened me. I have listened/ watched this group of people for..... I guess nearly 20 years. There have been times when I've been down, in a rut or just plain couldn't be arsed and On The Spot, The Hotspot, UPF or a Quicklook has just cheered me up if only slightly.

The site and its personality has changed a lot over the years but that scrappy underdog mentality, the edgy we are small and we don't give that much of a fuck what you think theme the site developed is a breath of fresh air and Vinny, Brad and Alex have always been a major part of that.

Along with Ryan and Jeff, those guys are GiantBomb.

It will be sad to see the leave and things won't be the same without them. But good luck in the future Duder's I can't wait to see what you all have planned next.

I’ll listen to the podcast on my phone via Pocketcasts, watch non premium on YouTube and premium videos on the website via a chromcast.

But to be honest I don’t watch much more than UPF nowadays.

I went to see Avengers Infinity War (it was released on my birthday) and had a five guys. Nothing major. I'm not into parties or anything. Just low key chilling.

Personally I have a PS5 pre ordered solely due to the noise my PlayStation 4 makes. I have to play games with noise cancelling headphones to hear what’s happening in my games. I don’t have time for PC gaming any more so the console life is the way for me.

I just started watching Lucifer, it plays very much like a Psych or Monk. Procedural cop drama with a twist. This twist being that the Cop is the Devil.

I’m loving it though to be fair. Tom Ellis is great in the role of Lucifer...Which is shocking going from his back catalogue...A bit part in a terrible UK comedy.

My girlfriend and I also just finished watching all 4 Seasons of This is Us. We were obsessed with that show for a week or two.

Do I think it’s a rip off?

Yes.

Would I pay it?

Hmmmmmmm......it depends on the film. Mulan no, the Black Widow film. I’d have thought about It. Disney have picked the wrong film to start this with. I can’t name many people that are interested in Mulan.

The price is outrageous but the film Disney have chosen for this ”trial” is laughable .

Take Tenet for example. That releases in UK cinemas next week. If WB had chosen to put that straight to streaming services I would have happily thrown 20 quid at them to sit and watch it at home.

Hey my local shop does Tango Ice Blasts, I could have popped and got one of those for the real cinema feel.

I have recently fallen down a deep dark hole of Youtube everyday carry video‘s. It’s horrendous. It’s just video after video of self entitled pricks showing off that they get sent the best tech (I’m not jealous....honest). Anyway that got me thinking what do “regular“ people carry around every day. Whats the GB communities “every day carry”.

If this post pops off I’ll grab a few photos of what I take out to work/ travel with and talk you guys through mine.

@shiftygism: I'm pretty sure Tokyo jungle was ps plus a while back. I already own it though. Played a couple hours before.

It's on the list thank you. Can't wait to get back into that again.

So I pulled my old PlayStation 2 out of storage (well my parent's spare bedroom actually). I did it to play GM mode on Smackdown Vs Raw 2006. A game I picked up on eBay for 29p. Anyway with that came a need to seek all the old console of my youth. I wont go back as far as Megadrive (yet anyway).

I unfortunately sold my Ps3 and 360 years ago...so I bought them again. 360 is all set up, PS3 is on its way. In total I think everything cost me about 90 quid. Including all the games I have already picked up.

So my question, what games would you recommend that you currently can't play backwards compatible on the PS4 or Xbox One?

For any of these systems:

Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Playstation 3 and I guess eventually Gamecube and Wii. I found my Wii but I cant find any cables or controllers.

Here is what I've already picked up:

Simpsons Hit and Run, Timesplitters 1 and 2, Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup (I remember loving this as a kid), Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, God of War 1 and 2, Bully and Black. I plan on picking up most of the old WWE games (especially allstars) so what else? What would you recommend?

Is Matt Rorie's Alpha Protocol any good? If this lockdown ever ends I may grab an old Guitar Hero and have a party.
