i like RB2's more. but since RB instruments work with this game, i may just pick up the game itself and drums another time. maybe the whole bundle. still undecided

"I think Harmonix has made some horrible choices when it comes to tiers, such as having Molly Hatchet in the final drum tier. At times like those I wonder what in the hell they were thinking, but it really doesn't matter to me. It's not like it'll really affect how you play it, and if it's too difficult for the tear it's in (a popular complaint is Dead on Arrival, which to many people is very hard and placed too low), then it's not like it still woulnd't be a problem even if it was in a higher tier."
I agree. The Final Tier on Drums should have been Run to the Hills, Dead on Arrival, Foreplay/ Longtime, Don't Fear the Reaper, Won't Get Fooled Again (in no particular order)"
Dead on Arrival? While yeah, its a pain, I don't think its even close to being a tier 9 Drum song. Next To You is way harder then Dead on Arrival, but both are passable by the normal non-drummer with practice (even though Next to You I had an easier time with then Dead on Arrival, but Dead on Arrival is really not deserving of Tier 9 drums)"
i guess. but there's no reason for Tom Sawyer and Flirtin' With Disaster should be in the 9th tier

I may get GH:WT i don't know yet. It does look fun now that i think of it. the songs may not be as good as RB2's but GH:WT does look kinda fun. espically with that sliding finger thing at the bottom of the guitar.....

"I'd love to see:

The White Stripes- Seven Nation Army (how did this get overlooked?)
Metallica- Kill Em All (album)
Metallica- Master of Puppets (album)
Metallica- Ride the Lightning (album)
Metallica- ...And Justice for All (album)
good stuff there. I download it for sure.

Guitar Hero II and Rock Band require the player to be more precise and hit the hammer-on/pull-off in time with the note on-screen, which, sure, adds to a sense of realism, but the problem gets exacerbated by dramatic, complex note charts like "Green Grass and High Tides", in which a single mishap, however slight, can throw a serious wrench into the flow of the gameplay.  It just gets frustrating, more than anything else."
oh yeah. that whole zig-zag kept me from beating the song. it took me like a month to finally beat it. but i did like the GH3 hammerons, was a breather for the insane overcharted stuff on songs. It definately helped on raining blood and one

"GH2 was pretty simple. its just that hangar 18 was hard. Free Bird had it's fair share of hard parts, but visions, shit how the hell will that be able to be beat"
What planet do you live on? Free Bird's last solo, Hangar 18's 8 SOLOS, Beast and the Harlot and Misirlou's strumming fest, Billy Freakout's just plain madness, then we have overall difficult songs like Institutionalized, Carry Me Home, Six, etc. And then there's Jordan....

While I agree with ToRo that it wasn't overly complicated, calling it simple is no where near right. It was the perfect difficulty (In my opinion) going from easy to moderate to difficult at the perfect pase. 5-starring on  a lot of those songs on Expert took forever, and I'm still having trouble landing a 5-star on 3 songs, not to mention beating Jordan I still can't do.

Just because its possible to beat doesn't make them simple."
i live on earth. but i never tried 5 starring them. I just went along beating them and saying yet i did it. i know, thats only half the battle. but still, hangar 18 IMO was the hardest. misirlou was hard, psychobilly was a pain...but once you beat a song, it get easier each time

"Just wondering how many other people here play a real instrument.

Thanks to Rock Band i finally convinced my parents to let me get a drum kit. I had wanted one since i was a little kid, but they has always said no. But after i got good at the drums on rock band they finally broke down and let me get a kit."
I wish I was you."
nice. atleast RB2 has drum trainer so once i show my mom how good i am at that, my chances of getting drums are higher i hope.Demilich said:
