I'm more reconfirming the obvious here, but you might want to consider a platform branching out or outright change onto the PC or iPhone/iTouch. Steam alone makes the initial price point of a new machine/hardware upgrade worth it. Not to mention the enormous catalog of older games that is available on the PC as well. While the iPhone/iTouch app store has games that at the most would be in the $5 dollar range.

Wow, really nice of you to do this. I suppose I'll pick Dead Space for PS3.

My PS3 recently got the YLOD and I have 2 questions:
 
1. I have heard mixed information that if you have one of the older BC PS3 and you get it repaired, that you may or may not retain the BC after the fact. Can anyone clarify on this?
 
2. For those of you who did get it repaired, did any of you experience another breakdown of the same PS3? If so, what was the time difference between the 1st and 2nd repair?

MGS3 & 4 - Not just story, but from a gameplay perspective as well. 
Metroid Prime 3 - The moment your able to take control of Samus was when I really felt like FPS games could truly benefit from being on the Wii.
Playing Team Fortress 2 on the PC - After two weeks of adapting to keyboard and mouse controls, (Looks at PS3) "What the hell was I doing all of these years on consoles?"

I'm surprised no one has mentioned  this.
