Would love to see this get made. Bring on a stat heavy RPG already! It seems like the prettier the 1st person graphics, the shallower the game lately (love you Skyrim but your combat is a bit dull).
Sorry GB - love the 20% of the content I consume, but not going to pay for all the other stuff I don't give a rats ass about. YOu need a better model to reward the GB crew then an on/off only sub model!! Here is the biggest pet peave I have: Why does the store restrict certain sales to people WHO ARE ALREADY GIVING YOU MONEY??? In what economy does that business model make any sense? Shouldn't you be enticing those who aren't already paying you with the store? Between advertising and GB labeled goods, you should be more then rich by now if you weren't hamstringing yourselves on a single payment model. Microtransactions guys! The sub model breeds contempt. I totally love what you doing here, but sorry, no premium membership from me until I can pay for only what I want (is it any wonder people are cutting the cable cord these days??? same principle here!!!).
The game's forums imply that EA isn't involved in the steam version, so it seems to lie with the developer.
Oh well. As long as I can start downloading it before I head off to work tomorrow I should be good to have it done by the time I get home. Unless it's some ungodly large download.
900 gigs later.
Double checked on Steam and it looks like it's only going to be 10.5. So I should be good as long as I can start it in the morning.
only 10.5 not enough gigs per dollar.
Skyrim, with all my mods, is only 6G. Sloppy coding on 38's part? Or magic on Bethesda's!!
I wonder if it will be mod-able? Anyone know of any discussion regarding this aspect of KoA?
Anyways, yes absolutely getting it. Seems to fill a fun niche between the just ok combat of Skyrim and the ultra-serious tone of Witcher 2, with a large chunk of WoW appeal thrown in.
Sure it might be taking it a bit too far, but shit like this does happen in real life. So, I don't mind it.
Was kind of thinking the same thing. And this being an MW game, you know something bad was going to happen with that scene.
Also, the airport scene from MW2 was shocking, but also absolutely made the story. The middle east has declared jihad for much lesser offenses, but I can see enough outrage over a tragedy like that being pinned on the US to make an invasion by any nationality almost plaisuble.
As for Skyrim, let me be completely honest: I loved Oblivion despite every one of its flaws, and didn't play either Fallout 3 or New Vegas (I wasn't a fan of the universe), so I'm ready for another sprawling Bethesda RPG, regardless of its sure flaws and abounding jank.
Yes this exactly. Living in a flat wasteland, don't need that environment in my fantasy games. Can't wait for Skyrim and the years of mods to follow. PC for life.
Was jonesing for a monster killing loot dropping fix. All I have to say is, who needs Diablo 3 when this 4yr old game is everything I could want or need in this type of game? Online Multiplayer - check Gorgeous graphics - check Multiple skill trees - check Your toon can respec to try any of the skill trees available (classless game) - check Vault Storage that allows you to transfer gear to other chars on your acct - check 3 levels of difficulty - check More loot, item sets, and item modability (via relics/formulas) then you could ever fully experience - check
If all Blizzard does is release a graphically updated Diablo, guess I'll have saved myself $59 with this $5 Steam purchase!
