I wouldn't mind of Whiskey Media was sold in its entirety to another company. What bothers me is that Tested et al as well as the whiskey media technology have been sold leaving comicvine and gb on its own. I missed the show but that makes me question how long the site will remain in its current whiskey media format, since gb wont be owned by the company that owns that format.

Aside from that, it is sad to see something that was such a great value as Whiskey Media end. Premium access to all of their sites and a consistent format throughout was just an incredible value. Add to that staffs were relatively small and you got to know everyone...its like a family being split up.

Regardless of what it means for each individual site and their future; this is the end of an era. I'll still stick around GB and so long as the content remains the same gladly be shoving my money into Ryan/Jeff's pockets but its still a change I wish I didnt have to see. Not for the better,

Im curious to know how you would feel about a modern day version of this game. Personally I would love to see it with updated visuals and AI, but I am left wondering if I really would enjoy a more physics real version or keep the waves a bit crazy as you have mentioned. Thoughts anyone?

I don't know why but Jeff has this unusual sway over my wallet, first it was Track Mania 2...now it's an annual Giantbomb membership, where will it end!?

I think part of the reason that Minecraft was able to sell itself as an alpha and beta was due to a few thing such as the uniqueness of the game, it was playable, the core remained the same throughout and it was made by one single man. You knew your payments went directly to Notch and not a company.
