@rorie: Sorry, I think I wasn't clear. It is in this exact menu that the link the "Playdate" took me to the chat instead of the Playdate series archive. This isn't an issue with the link (when hovering over it, the url was correct), it must simply be getting routed to the chat if an episode of the series you are selecting is being aired live. So, while probably not technically a bug, I think it certainly feels like one and is poor UX.

In the show's section, clicking on any of the shows takes you to the appropriate page. Not so for the "Playdate" show, which takes us to the live show/chat page.

Edit: I just realized that the link took me to the chat page because there is currently a live "Playdate" being streamed. However this is confusing, and prevents users from being able to look at the entire series back-catalogue.

Man, I just finally dug into this game, and when it works, its great. I love sneaking around and taking guys out, like the forts in Far Cry 3. But holy shit, this game seems to constantly play by a different set of rules than the ones it presents you with. The game can't seem to make up its mind about weather taking a guy out from behind cover is going to get you spotted or not. If I take out two guys with a stun gun without being spotted, my cover is blown anyway for some reason. The stealth take-down prompt routinely doesn't pop up, or doesn't behave as quickly as you'd expect it to once it does. I can't jump down ledges that it seems like Sam should be able to jump down, leaving me in a situation where I'm hanging there exposed and getting caught, when I wouldn't have ever done that if I knew that he couldn't jump down from it. I get spotted behind cover...sometimes. Others the hostiles are remarcably oblivious to my presence. There doesn't seem to be any logic from it as far as I can discern.

Obviously there is some kind of logic that governs it, and makes sense, but that really isn't good enough. The logic has to make sense to me, the player, or else I am caught dangling in the wind, at the mercy of some mysterious rule-set that I can't discern. That's not a fun game mechanic.

When it works, it's great, but damn, it's way too often that the whole thing breaks on me.

(P.S. I was getting kind of annoyed with those things in the main campaign, but the real issues came up during the wave based side mission mode, playing solo)

This is strange. I can play the cached version on Firefox, but Chrome won't load the video at all. In fact, last couple of weeks, the flash videos don't work for me in Chrome on this site, so I always have to switch to html5, but that isn't available on this video.

Isn't BeyondPod the most used Android podcast app? I use it and can't get the premium feeds to work. :(

I don't really write in much, but I thought you did a fantastic job coming up with new and original types of content for the site, particularly once you had to find a way to keep working for the site from Chicago. You'll be missed. Best of luck!

@development: I get why they do it, I just think it's super irresponsible. Imagine the shit storm that would happen if George Lucas never put out the third movie in one of his trilogies, after talking about them being trilogies all along, and never said a peep about it.

I find it really strange with just how cagey they are being with a release date. What's the point of this?

Basically, to me it seems like they do it because they get away with it. They literally have no competition in this space right now, so they get to trickle out the episodes whenever they want, and people still lop it up.

I think it's more likely that the episodes come in super hot, which would encourage them not to nail down a release date until absolutely necessary.

Yeah. They have absolutely no incentive to wait. The longer they wait, the more disinterested people become. It's a matter of being vague so GoT fans don't get super pissed when they have to push it back a week.

Well every other game/movie/tv-show out there has release dates set from way back when and it seems to work fine for them. Thing is, as a fan of Telltale's other work, I want to look forward to whatever else they have in the works, but when they announce a project and don't talk about it until the very end, you can't help but feel like they're taking cues from the poor communication Valve has with their community.

Man, Telltale really needs to get better with scheduling their releases. Sure, it takes time to figure out the production pipeline, but after so many times around the block, it's sad they haven't gotten any better at it.
